For those asking; Energetic Armament, Griffin Armament, Dead air, and a plethora of other silencer manufacturers have offered wiped silencer under the same guidance of 1 for 1 replacing the damaged wipe but not stock piling them. Every company seeking a new verification letter is not necessary as the ATF's position on this issue has been established.

This is actually how loud my unsuppressed air powered SR-25 is. Suppressed airsoft is about as loud as a muffled golf clap. My G36c air suppressed can’t be heard more than 15’ away in most cases.

Subsonic ammo that takes a decent range and speed loss upon hitting the rubber at the end of the suppressor. Probably not designed for military use. I assume something like this is meant to be used while hunting small animals within a maximum of 100 meters or closer.

The wipe won’t slow the bullet very much at all. But you are correct that subsonic ammo isn’t really meant for much further than 100 meters. Several militaries in the past have used wiped suppressors but they’re usually used in pistols and meant for VERY close range. Example: Welrod

Based on current AFT rules regarding wipes, if you add a wipe to any can that didn't come with it from the manufacturer...you just illegally manufactured a suppressor part and have run afoul of the NFA.

Why can't people just enjoy how quiet they can make the can, no one is forcing you to buy it, no one is saying it's the most accurate supressor ever, when choosing a suppressor/silencer(get over yourself it's both) you have to compromise between weight, length, material, decibels, tone, point of impact shift, serviceability, and cost. So just enjoy being shown a great option for people that choose decibels over all the factors, you get to choose 2 options at best.. so pick your two and buy that can.. love these videos, really great info!

The company name is a little suspicious. They're website even has a page explaining that the company as nothing to do with SMLE rifles. Just laughing that one of the biggest arguments for removing suppressors from the NFA has been that it doesn't turn guns into the silent assassination tools seen in movies, but rather makes them less loud so you don't wreck your hearing or piss off your neighbors. I personally also want suppressors removed from the NFA. I was just pointing out this suppressor doesn't really help that argument.

I had a car with a rusted, busted muffler once. It was a four-cylinder, and I'd drive around with it being kind of stupidly loud, but without the 'loud-AND-powerful' vibe. I finally took the car to a shop to get a new muffler put on. The work was done, I paid, I went out to the car and started it.... it didn't start.... so I re-keyed the ignition and it made that shitty sound of when you try to start a car that's already on. End users may destroy the wipe and use a Mcmaster punch to 1 for 1 replace the original wipe per ATF guidelines. A number of companies have been attempting to educate the public about wipe use ie: energetic armament, dead air, etc
