For the third straight season, the NFL decided to broadcast a game on Nickelodeon, as they aired the battle between the Los Angeles Rams and Denver Broncos. However, for the first time ever, the NFL on Nickelodeon game was on Christmas Day. Was this broadcast any good, or was it a giant lump of coal? One thing that gets in the way of Noah being on weekly crew for the NFL on CBS is that Noah also does College Football & Basketball games (mainly Pac-12) for Fox. In fact Fox sees Noah as a successor for Tim Brando when he retires in a few years on the #2 college football crew (behind Gus & Joel). This will likely mean Noah will be calling an important Big Ten or Big 12 game every week & won't have the time to call NFL games apart from this & the occasional game on NFL Network.

Seeing Patrick Star roasting Russell Wilson's interception was the funniest thing I saw all day yesterday. Part of me would actually like to see the actors for SpongeBob or Squidward added to the broadcast and be a commentary duo with Patrick for a part of next year's game; or have Sandy be there if it's a game with either Dallas or Houston playing because of it being a Texas team.

I don't have any kids, but wanted to watch this telecast as opposed to the CBS one as I was having a difficult weekend and thought this might cheer me up a little. It did the trick. I thoroughly enjoyed this presentation. I agree that Noah Eagle and Nate Burleson deserve a weekly stint as an NFL announcing team. An outstanding job and hope that there is another Nick presentation in the future.

Me and my dad were at the game, got blessed with VIP tickets from his friend. It was an amazing time actually. I loved the environment that Nickelodeon brings to the games. We got a Nickelodeon/Rams scarf, and there was a limited edition sponegbob/nfl shirt that we missed out on /: i love football and Nickelodeon so this experience was awesome! (Also annoyed that me and my dad couldnt get any of the slime helmets. I wanted one so bad lol)

I saw screenshots and brief video clips on twitter and it seemed pretty wild. It feels validating for me to have said, "gee, I hope the Patrick clips didn't last too long, though" and then have the point made in this video, along with other good ones. This is a great change of pace from the historical videos -- it's important to ask ourselves what works and what doesn't, and why, because we should expect more from a TV experience than "hey, here's some entertainment, be glad it's here."

The Nick NFL games are highly entertaining and very well done. It’s great to kids to get into football this way by learning the game and having kids favorite Nick show characters interact during the game. I think if this stays on Christmas every year it can truly be a annual tradition!!! Especially with the NBAs marquee game on around the same game as this game

The NFL only plays on Christmas if Dec. 25 falls on a day of the calendar where they'd normally play. I could easily see them doing a Saturday game.

Having it on Christmas is a great idea. It's a festive and lighthearted broadcast. You can check the score, get a chuckle from the Yeti, and go back to the zillion things you do on Christmas day. There's enough for everybody that you can put it on and not feel guilty about it.

The only thing that I wish would’ve been different about this, Is if the teams were actually good, Because with both teams already having failed seasons, All the Nick and Christmas shenanigans sort of feel kinda sad, at least from the perspective of a Broncos or Rams fan. Maybe next time, they should do something like a Week 18 game between 2 teams that are already playoff bound and have nothing to play for, Or maybe one of the International games (though I don’t know how the rating would turn out there considering it’s early in the morning, Especially with West Coast viewers. Don't get your hopes up for Burleson being a weekly on-site game analyst. Keep his CBS News obligations in mind. As for Dylan Schefter, she did have some issues on this telecast, which surprised me because she does have prior TV experience via co-hosting Slimetime with Burleson in the 2021-22 season. Maybe she and Young Dylan can both be on the sidelines for next season's game.

These games aren't for me but I'm glad others enjoy it, I'm too much of a hardcore broadcast NFL fan that I have to see the regular CBS broadcast. I didn't watch this game in general as the two teams was garbage but I spending that time with my nephew on his new PS5 so I missed the game anyways. I prefer the regular broadcasts like I said as Nickelodeon seems too gimmicky for me. I do agree about Burleson and Noah Eagle those two should be in the commentary booth regularly. I really can't wait for Jim Nantz to retire as I wanna see Noah Eagle become the new A-broadcaster someday but I want his father to takeover that duty whenever Jim steps away which I hope is soon. Burleson would be pretty good at color on a regular but maybe Noah can be with Romo in the future.

I'm not a fan of this parody from the NFL. Is it bad, no. There are good things, and it fits as a one-time only thing. For the high points NFL on NICK did very well this year. Next for the full stop. The NFL as a game shouldn't be on a for kids broadcast network. It is not a childs pet toy. Definitely not much too because it is a serious competition and things could be said or done out for the moment. This video does a good part in pointing some of those broadcasting problems out. I see a show like this only working as a highlights, or very specified 1 time show. Plenty to use for that and it will play to the broadcasts' strengths! Another point about it being once is that it's something to enjoy that's unique and be topped a different way! End rant.

What I wonder is, is it sexist to have the person who didn't know football be a girl? At least on the first broadcast anyway, not so much now. Does that play into the stereotype of the ditzy girl who doesn't know sports? Lots of women know sports pretty well and there are lots of guys who do not. That's my only criticism with how they do the broadcast.
