Maybe i'm wrong but I think Cam is right. Look around the league and Norman and Deangelo have also pointed out that refs aren't doing their job. I don't blame Cam for "not feeling safe" when he gets hit in the head over and over and aim for the knees. It's hard to enjoy the game and feel safe when players get away with that.

Ray is exactly right. Denver provided a template for neutralizing Aaron Rodgers last year & they're just now adapting to counter. Denver provided a template on how to beat the 15-1 Panthers last year and neutralize Cam Newton in the SuperBowl - not going for that fumble proves that they made him quit. Every other team in the league had all summer to digest that template & copy it. Has Cam taken shots that should have been flagged & not? Absolutely - *the same as every other quarterback in the league*. Cam has gotten the second MOST roughing penalties since he came into the league. I love Cam but he doesn't have that relentless, near-maniacal desire to win that would make him put his body on the line without thinking about it. Look what happened to Drew Brees in San Diego; he dived on a meaningless fumble in a meaningless game, tore his rotator cuff and was eventually let go. Of course he was unlucky, but throwing himself on that ball was a sign that he's a winner. Look at what Kirk Cousins did in the Pro Bowl when he chased a defensive player all the way down and tackled him to prevent a pick 6. Meaningless game but he has that dog in him, that desire to never lose no matter what. Cam hasn't really shown me that, instead he shows petulance and immaturity when he loses. He needs to be more of a leader. However, with all this being said, I don't blame him for what's happened to the Panthers. Their secondary was awful, their O-Line was beat up, Benjamin was very average as was everyone else, Stewart couldn't stay on the field etc. The Panthers also had to deal with a suddenly hot NFC South which usually gave them 4-6 wins per season
