Not me. Had me pissed off. I guarantee you that Montana, Manning, Brady, Brees, Mahomes, all the Greats, etc. All knew the Divisions / Conferences. They were students of the game. Makes you wonder what else these players don't know.

@Matt M. possibly, it didn't take ME as long as other GMs & Coaching staffs, but I've come to the conclusion that Tannehill is a glorified backup. He's made leaps & bounds from that kid who didn't know his divisions, but in the end, he's someone you want to finish the game for you when your real starter goes down. A lesson Tennessee is going to learn soon when Derrick Henry can't carry the team anymore

@brandonsavitski

Hated Philbin but the coach doesn't always cut all the players or notify them that they are being cut. Most teams do cuts like this where GM, Coach, other team executives tell the players. Multiple players were being cut at that moment and they were sending them in so they could speed up the process so they could get back to business.

For those of you wondering, the 2nd round pick Miami received for Vontae Davis became cornerback Jamar Taylor, who never recorded an interception in Miami. He had 3 for the 0-16 Browns, and two this year, off of Cam Newton and Jarrett Stidham. Solid value lmao

I get it, but there's a human element to that job though, Ireland was terrible at it, but as a player I imagine you want to start & finish your career with the organization that first took a chance on you & he was trying to let him down easy while giving him advice on how to handle things with his new team. Ireland shouldn't be giving advice in the first place but that's another issue. I remember being shocked when this happened. No one saw it coming, especially when he had shown so much promise. Then this show kinda provided a little more context on the situation.

(Insert anything positive and negative about their abilities as a football player) Is there anything you'd like to say? Any questions about your future in this league?" @@mrlaydback11 Im assuming you're referring to the Bills game.... Look, I'm not going to sit here and pretend as a Dolphins fan, that I wasn't LMAO at Buffalo when this happened, but excluding my Fandom and dislike of the Bills, what Vontae Davis did was just plain wrong & downright shameful. I understand he just didn't have it in him to play anymore, but forget the organization or the business end of things, you don't quit on your teammates half way through the game. You either speak to your coach beforehand, or you at least finish the game & then retire. You don't leave halfway through a game where your team is getting pummeled. This isn't a job flipping burgers, it's a brotherhood. For him to not even say anything & have the team find out that he "retired" by sending a trainer out looking for him & finding him in street clothes was just plain WRONG & in poor taste. I read the article about the situation, & the lies his wife & he tell himself so that he can look himself in the mirror every day, might work for him, but they don't justify the way he left. He embarrassed himself and his brother. Despite the reputation he had made for himself in Indianapolis, THIS is what people will forever remember him for. Believe that.

What matters is what your peers think about you. That respect, and he lost it. The guys would have understood if he retired at any other time but during & not telling a soul he's leaving & it being in the middle of a blowout loss. Wasn't the right way to handle it, but hey I respect your opinion and while I may not agree with you, It's still fun to have these discussions

"We gotta get you to where your consistency level is more consistent" -Jeff Ireland. Also Jeff Ireland: "We know you are gonna do well."(OK SO, WHY ARE TRADING HIM THEN?) Wonder why he isn't a general manager anymore.

The fact that what Philbin was most passionate about during the series was his swear jar says a whole lot.

The Dolphins set Ryan Tannenhill so back. Luckly Ryan ended up with the Titans and they brought the talent out of him.

They have been doing the same thing with Tua. Hopefully they develop him with the new coaching staff.

Always the same shit. No wide receivers and no offense line and no running backs. Hopefully Tannehill can finally win some playoff games

Funny thing is in 2021 the way offenses are designed now Les Brown makes the roster!!
@TheToad075

He would’ve made the roster then if they just put him at receiver. The dude was never going to be a tight end, especially with a 4.3

Can we get a redo / a mulligan on Hard Knocks now that we have a real Head Coach and GM? This shouldn't count and should be erased from MIAMI DOLPHINS history.

I honestly feel bad for the guys who got cut Philbin just didn’t play guys. I’ve watched lots of seasons of this show and he by far is the worst at giving reps. Everyone complained about reps and I feel it was mismanaged and the staff kind of screwed them over.

Jim Ireland is also the problem with the NFL, you get these guys who think they know their stuff because they hung around their dad as a ball boy during the summer and just hearing what he was saying made no sense. Probably a nice guy, dude just didn't know enough for what he had to know for his job.
