Btw, Brees doesn’t have one single highlight of himself dipping multiple defenders with clear shots at him like Romo has up near 15-20 plays like that in his career. Dude was incredible. Then every single time our Cowboys played. I am 34 and we still continue that tradition. Tony gave us a lot of great memories. We don’t care for the flashy BS and all the other nonsense. We just love the game. We understood that Romo felt the same way. Which is why we will always have his back, even though we’ve never met the man. Tony Romo is one of the best of all time to not win a Super Bowl. Hell he's honestly one of the best of all time period. The stats he put up and the things he accomplished playing for one of the most dysfunctional front offices ever is amazing. Had Bill Parcells stayed he would've probably won a Super Bowl or 2. Romo had to constantly overcome a shitty team and coaching staff. The only reason they even had a chance to make the playoffs the years they fell short was because of Romo. He never had any help until his body was beaten up and breaking down. The best chance he had was 2014 which was a MVP season for him and the refs screwed him on that. Another thing people forget is how lost those Cowboys teams were without him from 2007-2015. Romo: 61.5% win rate. Cows backups 25.5% win rate. This was the biggest drop off from starter to backup win rate in the NFL over this period of time. miles better then the fucking joke of QB we have now. i love prescott as a person, hes a stand up dude. mature and has personality that you cant hate him. but as a player, the guy is just in over his head. he just doesnt have "it". did u see the game against carolina sunday? oh..my...god....i know he was under pressure all game, but those passes he did get off. throwing dead ducks at the players feet. missing WIDE open receivers. he had a receiver wide open on cross route. wide open!!! and he just completely throws it way behind him. we need to draft a new qb next year.

Romo had the scramble ability of an amazing QB, the deep yard accuracy of an amazing QB, but he also had the heart of a prize fighter and ice in his veins. Also, his ability to read defenses and switch plays within seconds was unreal. One of the greats to never get a Super Bowl win. Like Marino.

Dak has a 40 yard arm; Romo could throw 60 yard strikes. It's gonna be another Zeke year while Dak checks down. He is gonna miss the hell out of Witten.

Let’s not forget that he only had one great receiver (at a time) and Jason witten his entire career. No oline, no defense, or dependable run game. He literally did all the heavy lifting AND he did it with injuries that others would have retired from…for at least his last 5 years

I posted this elsewhere, but it bears repeating; Everything you need to know about the Cowboys with Romo can be summed up with the stats from one game. October 6, 2013. Denver is in town. He threw for 506 yards, five touchdowns, put up 48 points, a 140 rating, (better than Manning in that game), and Dallas lost. You know how many other times that has happened? None. Never. Dallas had a crap-tastic D for essentially all of his career. Without him Dallas never would have finished better than 3-13. Oh, and he has a better career QB rating than EVERY QB currently in the Hall of Fame.
@blahblah80376 жыл бұрын
Trident Diving I’ve been a fan of the guy since he replaced Bledsoe. I remember watching that game against Denver. He threw an interception late in the fourth and was blamed for the loss. All true fans of the game should know how good Romo was. I wish they’d have stuck with him after dak. He wasn’t prepared for post season and has blown it twice. 🙄
