2 Vikings teams that deserve to be mentioned: 2001, the death of Korey Stringer, Denny Green lost the entire team and subsequently fired, the defense was atrocious, Carter and Moss argued a lot on the sidelines and then Mike Tice gets hired And then 2010, Favre plays the retirement game again and then completely struggles and immediately looks old and washed up. The Randy Moss trade that completely blew up in their face, Childress gets fired. The freaking Metrodome roof collapses, literally everything that could go wrong for the Vikings did go wrong and the franchise went into turmoil for a few years.

Personally I feel like the 2019-present Bears should be included as well. Had a surprising 2018 season going 12-4 and winning the NFC North, followed by the most embarrassing loss in team history. Had a lot of potential in front of us, and had the feeling that we would be a dominant force for years, back to back 8-8 seasons in 2019 and 2020 with another playoff appearance but the wheels really started to fall off as we slowly morphed into our old selves. 2021 and 2022 have been so disastrous, but I have confidence that Fields and company will soon lead us back to the glory days.

As a Cardinal fan, I have this: 1976 they go 10-4 and miss the playoffs. 1977 they went from 7-3 to losing the final 4 games to finish 7-7 then they lose the first 8 games in 1978 although they finish strong going 6-10. 1998 they make the playoffs for the first time in a non strike season since 1975 and even upset the Cowboys in the wild card game but the following season they go 6-10 and didn't have another winning season until 2008. Speaking of which... 2009 they go 10-6, win the division for the 2nd year in a row, and win the highest scoring playoff game in history only to go 5-11 and finish last in 2010. 2015 they go 13-3 and ended up in the NFC title game only to go 7-8-1 the following year. And finally, in 2021 they start the season 7-0, ended up going 11-6 and got completely embarrassed in the wild card game then in 2022 they're going to finish 4-13 and in dead last.

As a Cowboys fan, 2014 was such a hype year, unfortunately crushed by referee favoritism to GB. Typical. But man, when the trio of Dez, Murray, and Romo were out, I knew we were boned. No one believed me, saying the o-line would make any RB look good. Then we went 4-12. Disappointing, but not surprising.

That shitty catch rule was a cancer to the league.

LOL at a Cowboy fan whining about referee favoritism. Funny how EVERY one of the forget the horrible non call against Detroit the week before.

Scoring so quickly didn't seem to be the smartest decision as it would have been more time on the clock to allow Rodgers to score a touchdown.

You could've included the disaster that was the '05 Packers

The 99 Rams took full advantage of the Falcons and 49ers having bad seasons Steve Young and Jamal Anderson both got hurt no wonder they won the NFC west division who else was going to win the Division the Panthers and the Saints 😂

You missed the 1963 New York Giants when they went 11-3 and lost the Chicago Bears in NFL championship and 2-11-1 and last place in 1964.

How about the 94 bills? After 6 straight playoff trips, 4 straight afc title wins, Buffalo went 7-9. The 41-17 loss to New england at home put the bills to bed for good

I thought you were gonna put 2020-present Cleveland browns. The reason why is because it was the first time in a while the browns won an NFL playoff game. Then, they went downhill because of many things like Odell Beckham Jr, Baker Mayfield and more.

The 1999 Broncos should not be in the list because Griese has to face some growing pains and we have a tough schedule.

Well the 1999 Broncos were the worst defending Super bowl champs until the Rams broke that record 23 years later.

2 teams I would have mentioned were the 2017 Jaguars (10-6 and AFC Championship appearance) to the 2018 Jaguars (5-11). And the 2015 Broncos (12-4 and Super Bowl Champions) to the 2016 Broncos (9-7 but missed playoffs).
@mariosnum1fan Жыл бұрын
The broncos were still competitive and expected to make the playoffs. And they finished 9-7 which is still good. The jags probably doesn’t qualify as a candidate for this list

Honestly, the 2008 Packers shouldn't be on here. Sharing a Division with the 0-16 Lions, GB could've had it WAY worse

I still have nightmares about the Romo years, so glad he's not QB anymore, cause newsflash y'all, HE was the issue with those teams, no-one else. It sucks that Dak doesn't seem to be the answer either.
