While I think NFT’s are dumb af, this isn’t on the party goers as much as on the organizers. In this case, the organizers are definitely in the wrong, & it isn’t unreasonable for the people hurt by this & should definitely sue. It’s not unreasonable to expect to not be blinded by ‘party lights’

bigclive did a video on the lights a week ago. He did some visual comparisons with the footage taken at the event, and while it probably wasn't the main stage, they had a sort of hang out area pretty much exclusively lit by UV-C lamps, hence why not everyone is affected. Still dumb, especially since it happened not too long ago in Hong Kong already.

I doubt it's anything other than speculation, but I heard that sterilizing UV lamps were overproduced during the height of Covid, so now there's a huge surplus and they're cheaper than the normal "blacklight" bulbs.

As much as I despise NFTs and the whole community/idea behind it (particularly the capitalist hellscape that allowed this to happen), I actually like those ape drawings. I like the rough but precise lineart, it's pleasing to look at, at least to me. Edit: I FIGURED IT OUT. It's that early years Gorillaz sort of shading and lineart that make it pleasing to me visually. That's as far as it goes though, lmao.
