Today we take a look at how one moth embarrassed her family in an attempt to try and shame her childered publicly, after the bath tub was ruined with beyblades she decides to auction their toys on ebay in an effort to teach them a lesson, but little did she know it would be her who is taught a lesson after 4chan intervenes

This is why you don't preach punishments to kids online, when you're selling toys.

Selling my kids' toys seems like such a weird punishment. I bought those, they've depreciated all value, and I'm the one who has to replace them. It seems more prudent to just not let the kids throw metal repeatedly against anything not made for it.
@esprit101
@esprit101 2 ай бұрын
Bit late for that, isn't it. I don't know the details of the story, but it sounds like they could've easily destroyed the bathtub in one afternoon of playtime while the parents weren't home at least that's not unfathomable. Then I'd absolutely punish them by selling the toys in question and confiscate their saving for the damages. I wouldn't put it in the listing or publish their faces, that's just messed up. But having them pay for the damages they caused seems like a good teachable moment to me.

I can see the logic if the mother bans beyblade from the house. If the kids have other toys they have to play with those.
@Sovvyy
@Sovvyy 2 ай бұрын
@@esprit101 Not sure I agree to be honest. Children don't consider consequences, which is no fault of them own (their brains are still developing). Punishing them so heavily can instead teach them to accept fault defacto, rather by moral relevance. For example, if I were to unknowingly drop a banana peal and it results in someone breaking their neck, am I to blame? Morally, no. It also doesn't usually transfer to other things, rather it's "metal + play + bath = bad" as opposed to "think of consequences to things around me". Of course, this assumes the children would not have known (and processed) to use metal toys in the bath in this way beforehand. Judging by the mothers' self-righteous ravings, it seems she would likely have announced it.
@NotMeButAnother
@NotMeButAnother 2 ай бұрын
@@esprit101 Depends on context. Like, was it reasonable to expect the children to know that these toys would damage the bathtub? Did the household any rules about toys in the tub or playing in the bathroom that were broken? Because I can easily agree that the kids most probably did that damage within one extended play session where the moment they realized the problem it was already too late. Also, while some consequence such as having to contribute to the repairs is good, I don't think children that age have much of an idea of how expensive a bathtub is. Taking everything they have to pay for it only makes sense if the family is seriously poor and can't afford to fix the tub otherwise, else it's overly harsh.
@esprit101
@esprit101 2 ай бұрын
@@NotMeButAnother I disagree - they probable played for a while to incur the damages (broken soap holder, broken tiles, stripped enamel) and I'm pretty sure they could notice it during the play session. Honestly I'm all on board with making them pay for (at least part) of the damages with the toys in question - maybe don't confiscate all savings but half their allowance for a while to cover the costs. They point is to make them hurt financially for thoughtless destruction, it's supposed to hurt their (velcro) wallets. I also don't think there needs to be a specific rule of "don't play in X room" - don't break out furniture during playtime or you'll regret it should be fine as a general rule.

Did this mother really expect people to go "yaaass queen" when she decided such punishment for their children? Taking away a toy temporarily for a misdemeanor is a thing, SELLING them off (or even just throwing them away) is a very rude and disrespectful act. 4chan is terrifying. They can accomplish so many things when they put together (I've watched tales of psycos, murderers etc getting caught thanks to 4chan) but a lot of times they also direct this force towards evil as well, because bullying and doxxing is fune for some, I guess. Good video though! (I appreciated the color coding of the sponsor)

Not gonna lie, the idea that this mother got the idea to make an ebay auction out of this event, take a picture of her children crying, post it online, and then actually did all of these things is just so insane to me. Remember that back then everything was a bit slower, you couldn't just take a quick pic with your smartphone and have the site load everything in a few minutes. And not ONCE she stopped and be lie "hold on, that isn't such a good idea". Did CPS ever look into that hag?

This is literally soothing and healing for me. Few people understand the sheer destruction and permanent damage that parental abuse can cause, and kids in such situation are crying out for divine justice and salvation, because the despair is real. 4chan's response to it is solidly in my top 10 list of greatest goods did by humans, and the fact it was 4chan of all entities to do it speaks volumes about how far Humanity has fallen.

Ok, while I do not think sharing photos of children online is a sane idea, everything else is pretty clever punishment, it demonstrates that if you break or damage something you need to pay for it. Important lesson to learn
@CainXVII
@CainXVII 2 ай бұрын
Sure, but those kids are too small to have a concept of money. If you take away $120 from them when they break the tub, they don't know what that means. Or what it means that the beyblades got sold for cash. Sure, take away the right to use beyblades for a year because they clearly can't handle them properly, tell them about the consequences of the bathtub being ruined and how it will cost money. But if they lose their ice cream money for two weeks that is probably more of an impactful punishment than losing money that they can't really understand the value of yet.
@Mark-vr7pt
@Mark-vr7pt 2 ай бұрын
@@CainXVII oh no, if they big enough to perceive relationship between the cause and outcome and understand concept of ownership it's enough. "You break something valuable, you'll lose something valuable." People don't understand the concept of money before they start struggling with making them.

So the mom did almost everything right. Only dubious part is posting the picture of the children in the auction. You have the duty to reiburse for damages you cause even if you are underage, so goodbye (short) lifetime savings and hope you learned something. As for ebay, I have never used it and I'm completely baffled that ebay itself does not enforce bids in it's sytem. For my mind it would be imperative for an auction system that any bid is made securely with banking information disclosed to ebay itself so the platform can authenticate the ability to pay the full amount and can claim the money to be transferred to the seller. Leaving no possibility to make false million dollar bids. In fact at the halfway point of this video I was thinking that the way 4chan ruined the lesson was by making the kids millionaires, which luckily was not the case...
@TAiiNE
@TAiiNE 2 ай бұрын
I am all for the parents making their kids pay back for the damage of a tub by selling their toys and what they had saved. I am not for them showing a photo of them to shame them. They could have shown the damage to the tub to show such a punishment was warranted. Shoot when I was a child and I broke something I was made to go out, mow lawns, wash cars, etc to earn back the money to repay what I broke. I've also had my fair share of stuff taken away to be sold to pay for my dumb childish mistakes. I'm in my 40's now and it def made me more responsible and know the value of things. But to put ones children up on display to shame them to the world? That is a step too far.
