Many years (and 40 kilo's/80lbs!) ago. Dutch TV item from 2016 in our first watchmaker workshop. Use autogenerated subtitles to understand our Dutch babbling 🤣
A special about people who work at night. You'll see Richard working on the lathe.
Watchmakers Kalle Slaap, Machiel Hulsman and Richard Foster-Dingley in Grootschermer.
Vintage horloge reparatie

As a professional watchmaker here, this makes me very happy. Reminds of my old workshop in old Headington village and my house was five minutes away. Nice and quiet, peaceful. I miss those days. Liked and subscribed :)

Kalle, you've lost so much weight! I thought you just always looked as svelte as you do now 😁 Big congrats on that! Subtitles would be great, but this was still fun to watch even though I have no idea what's being talked about. 😛

Thank you! I didn't even think to use them at first -- it's even better when you can understand what they're saying 😂

Dutch I presume is your first language, and your English is very good. I'm always impressed by people who are fluent in more than one language. I took Spanish in high school and college and even live in an area of US where Spanish is as common, or more common, than English, yet Spanish does not come easily to me (better at math :) Also, I lost 50 lbs (22.6kg) and congratulate you on your obvious weight loss (& beard -- me too). I'm sure you feel more healthy at lower weight. Enjoy your videos. Plus I have 2 watches I can send for servicing, Cartier Tank & Rolex GMT both semi vintage, mid 1980s.

Yes I do! It was a present to myself for my 30th birthday, it never let me down in the last 20 years. I drive this Rover P5b Saloon 1969 v8 and a v6 Rover 75 from 1999.

I don't working at night :X yikes. I mean maybe it's ok in Neterland or Prague but in the US it is very unsafe.

I understand Gregg. This workshop #1 was an old (but small) bank building with bullet proof glass. And than again….all watches in the safe are broken 😄. We don’t sell any watches, just a repair shop.
