I did a fantasy team like this, signed all prospects to long term deals at 85% of asking price and won 8 Stanley Cups in a row. Top 9 were all 90+ OVR and had Aatu Raty on 4th line at 86 OVR making 1.3 mil a year, Jesper Wallstedt grew to med franchise potential and all 6 defenseman were mid 80s with +5 chem. Definitely the best way to draft in this game.

@@TacTixHD 100 offense, 100 defense, 95-98 goalie.... no skater under 85 ovr, over half the team had x factors/abilities... pretty tough to beat... even broke 70 wins for a season.

@@chuckmo14 Its just getting to know the game and taking full advantage of how its programmed, I knew Raty, Merkley, and a bunch of other players would grow a lot while not asking much for long term deals and people like Rossi, Kubalik, and others would not grow much but want lots of money.

I just did a fantasy draft franchise, gave myself the #1 pick to build around McDavid and was lucky enough to win the bedard lottery. Once they developed my top line was 92 boldy 98 mcdavid 95 bedard for about 5 years, until mcdavid started regressing. Had multiple years where all 3 guys put up over 100 points. Unfortunately only won 2 cups in about a 10 year sim but I was honestly more focused on the crazy point totals of that top line. Very fun team to sim.

Love the idea to go to medium sim engine scoring. I’ve tinkered around with it a lot, and that always seems to be most realistic, with shot frequency on high. I guess we’ll see, though

How did you get ur custom roster in franchise mode without an expansion draft? I can’t seem to get to use my roster in franchise mode cause EA always uses the default roster and I have no option to change it
