The average fan’s discrimination of goalies infuriates me on a level I can’t even begin to explain. Fans are so toxic towards goalies that every loss gets blamed on them even when it is the team as a whole playing sloppy that leads to a loss.

On a recent Devils radio broadcast, color analyst and former NHL standout Chico Reach stated the save percentage should be looked at differently. He stated as long as it %900 -909 that should be acceptable. I tend to agree with defensemen for sometime now not being allowed to actually play defense in front of the net ...(as Devils fan I hated the Timo trade).....I agree with Chico😊

Joseph Woll deserves a mention as well. Had a shocking, shocking game against the Sabres the other week. Both Toronto and Edmonton have pretty much the most abysmal goalie tandem of all NHL teams this season.

Was it really a gaffe or is the fact that during that part of the game (and many other parts of that game!) there was not one defender even remotely near the net for him to pass to, let alone a forward coming back into the zone for backup. The Leafs defence is the real issue here. As a goalie you rely on your guys to be there to help you out in situations like that. The Leafs will continue to ruin another young goaltender who has some potential. As you said though, it was a tough one to watch.

Blackwood has played solid in San Jose so far. I'm more surprised that Kahkonen isn't on this list instead, but I guess his numbers must not be as bad as some other people instead.

You have to at least give honorable mention to Husso. Dude is 58th in the league in GAA and 56th in Sv%, yet keeps getting the start in Detroit. His stats get worse in every game, even when they win. They've been relying on their offense to outpace his inability to stop pucks. Everyone knows that can't last.

Listen to what Ms Hope said n the beginning....YET ...you have some bandwagon loser on the tube ....I will call him The Hockey Fraud.....speaking ill, cheapening Martin Brodeur and other great goaltenders. A position I played for 17 years and currently do scouting work for a legendary author. He has more bandwagon jerseys than brain cells......we will see what happens with Skinner but I am tired of some telling me what he is instead of his performance.
