Story makes me so sad. My dad died of ALS last year and I sent multiple tweets and messages to the Calgary Flames and they never responded. He was a flames fan since the moment they came to Calgary. Wish I could’ve done something for him like this

I agree. Despite the fact that he called a newly isolated Indian immigrant a paki when he was in grade 8, those volatile comments did not hold the same weight they do in modern society. He is not at fault for that.
