kelly sutherland is one of the worst refs in the NHL. He made such a bad call on the canucks (delay of game) when the puck clearly hit the glass and went out, and he was the same one who missed the blatant hand pass against the blues last year

Golden Knights fan here. I hope to hell that McNabb and Schmidt start playing better. They have sucked this entire restart. Watch every goal and their positioning. They stink and play on the same line. They were both -2. If they keep playing like they are it will be a really tough series to win. Funny how after the Knights beat San Jose 7-0 in second round their inaugural season they lost the next game. This is just 1 game and the Knights had plenty of chances. 40 blocked shots and 40 shots on goal for Vegas. Not a great stat for Vancouver. Nice win Canucks you deserved the win. You found some glaring holes tonight in Vegas' defense and capitalized. Game on. Should be fun

@nils4545 The 4th line for Vegas got significantly less ice time. Reaves and Carrier got less than 9 minutes of ice time compared to almost 15 in game 1. Not sure what DeBoer was doing there. The physicality was gone last night so I would expect them to get more ice time next game and we should be a more physical team.

Vancouver often plays rope a dope against teams that usually score on less shots but more high danger chances. Even with over 80 shot attempts both teams had the same amount of high danger chances. Keeping a team like Vegas to the outside and not allowing them much in the way of chances in close and off the rush worked well last night. Vancouver is at its best when they pounce on mistakes and use their high-end talent to create quality chances. Every goal was within 10 feet of the net and were all from taking the puck deep and attacking the net.. The Blues play a possession type game and the rope a dope doesn't work at all against that type of style hence the style that worked for the Nucks was not allowing the Blues to chip and chase and using their speed to thawrt them and get the puck out quickly.

Christ, did you notice on the first 4 Canuck goals, the play-by-play team were talking about something else besides the play right before the goal. In fact, as soon as the puck went in for the 4th goal, he hadn't yet caught up with the play. Very awkward.
