I think this is what Canucks need. They need to regroup and regain that sharpness, that work rate that had been a major factor in their unbelievable surge at the start of the season. That went missing tonight. Struggled badly to keep their passing game going. Pettersson had such a quiet game. I expected a lot more from the league's leading points scorer. And don't get me started on Myers. Yet again, he makes a pathetic decision, gets himself in the penalty box, and the opposition scores. When will he grow a goddamn brain and realize certain actions are NOT NECESSARY???

Finally, a half-decent win at home for a change, they've played way too many sloppy games on home ice. Sure, we like the goal-scoring, but defensively it just hasn't been there, at least tonight they finally buckled down in their own end for a nice change. A good win & something to help boost the team as they embark on their overseas road trip this week.

Vancouver has a shooting percentage of 15.3 which is roughly 5% higher than normal and have amazing save percentage numbers. Both are unsustainable and will drop down to more normal levels. They've also played Edmonton 3 times and San Jose once. Their record is inflated compared to who they really are.
@conorcahill5422
@conorcahill5422 6 ай бұрын
@@chrisg1556 There's no way you can know that for sure. It's bound to happen for all teams to lose at least once in the regular season. I mean, sure we've played Edmonton 3x times, but at times they're the ones that shoot like a sub machine gun.
@chrisg1556
@chrisg1556 6 ай бұрын
@@conorcahill5422 15.3 is not sustainable no matter who you are. By season end league best is around 11.5 - 12. And vezina winning numbers are around. 930. Both Vancouvers current shooting percentage and save percentage are not sustainable I can guarantee you that. Vancouver is a better team than last season no doubt but they're not an elite team.
