Soderblum's inability to control rebounds costs again. He is his own worse enemy and the Hawk defense is not good enough to clear the rebounds. Huge difference between Soderblum and Mrzak in terms of quality.

To be fair, I wasn't a fan of Mrzak, but he definitely steadied the ship for us last season. I like Soderblum, he needs time, but agreed he should have swatted the puck away or dived on it for the third goal. Still, you are only as good as the defenders you have in front of you. Offence for me is a secondary for a defender, run of the mill attacking will do. But Jones needs to sort his priorities out, a lot of pressure due to his wages. I would off him personally, not a fan. 🤷🏾‍♂️

I wonder if Ovi has an injury since his shot% is trash and they don't even go for the onetimer that much. Something weird is going on with Ovi, either injury or total loss of confidence.

Being die hard Caps fan it's 2 things going against OV right now. Yes I think he does have an injury bcuz he play's too stiff/upright. A hockey player doesn't play like that unless there something like a back injury. 2nd, his weight for his age is too heavy. He really needs to knock off 15 - 20 lbs so he picks up some speed and flexibility. It will help him more with the faster game played today.

what I would do to see TJ Oshie get traded to the Bruins - he fits our culture well, very-skilled player, who also plays with an edge, willing to lay big hits when needed and put himself in compromising positions in order to score, tough. Checks all the boxes SWEENEY/NEELY GET ON IT!

Chicago’s second goal was a saucer pass from Connor Bedard to Connor Murphy. Connor Murphy did not pass the puck to himself. Jeez Chicago, you can hire better commentators! I thought an original six franchise would be able to hire people who know hockey and the names and numbers of all the players on the team. I watched nhl games all the time. I must say Chicago has the most incompetent play by play sports commentators.
