I’m grinning from ear-to-ear. This was a perfect game for the Leafs! And hopefully the benchmark moving forward. McCabe and Bertuzzi were the stars tonight. A lot of key defensive plays were executed perfectly. Knocked the wind out of Nashville in the third. This reminds me of the old days Clark, Gilmour, T. Domi, Todd Gill, Dave Ellet, Dmitri Mirionov, Macoun all making key defensive plays and keeping the goals against low.

I commented this on the LA highlights too but I get that players want to stick up for their teammates but hitting is becoming a lost artform (and taking a hit) that even when a clean hit is given players flip out, fights and brawls ensue. Kinda makes em look like babies. I liked when they would take it like a champ, take a number, and get em back proper later.

@@robertfry8025 I don't agree with 1 player getting all the blame but Holl was terrible. He made Brodie look good and Brodie has also been terrible. Its always a group effort, win or lose, but Holl was always out of position, rarely was facing the proper way on goals and the playoffs were just brutal for him yet Keefe kept putting him out. Klingberg is a great player but any injured player will have issues. We've seen it with other players over the years.

The team according to advanced analytics that I don't understand but are listed by James Tanner WON all the minutes he played last year. This was without a doubt the best this team has looked this year. The forechecking was relentless, the gaps were nonexistent, I don't know how many times the Leafs newer BIG guys on D broke the Preds offensive cycle game by taking the man out of the play with there bodies!! Something this team could not do with the TINY little so called puck movers they had! I hope its not a one off game but I have my suspicions that the Leafs as a team were made aware of the real reason Ryan O'Reilly left the Leafs! and that was he though the Leafs as a team didn't have the passion to win!! And HE'S RIGHT!! The top guys need to go! Both Nylander and Marner are useless players in the playoffs! Points be dammed! Point don't win cups!! Passion and heart do!
