The lovely thing about listening to Joe and Sam is that they see and appreciate opponents as well. Sure, they focus on Rangers, it's the team they work for and the fans they comment for, but they never get silly one-eyed - and they can have decently harsh views on "their" players. Tavares on defense on the game winner 7:47. OMG. I had to check to make sure that wasn't a pilon left over from practice. The Ranger just skated in, zero check from anyone. The Ranger's biggest challenge was simply not to bump into Tavares while headed toward the goal. Good two-way players are hard to find.

I love how all the Toronto fans are downplaying the victory for the Rangers. Yes the Leafs got a bit unlucky but Igor played a great game, our defense was better, and we capitalized on the power play. I think we deserve a bit of credit after last week's fiasco.

It's not that we are downplaying the victory from the Rangers. But it's just that both teams played enough to win. One got very lucky with the puck, and the other did not. I'm not even accounting for power plays because I only saw one blatant penalty not being called for the Leafs (Marner being elbowed), but apart from that, not much to complain regarding that. Rangers are super solid defensively and played well to deserve the win. It's just frustrating because out of the 4 goals the Rangers scored(empty netter wouldn't happen because of no empty net in this scenario), 3 were super lucky bounces/deflections. If we take the luck factor in those instances, the game could have been 1:2 for the Leafs. But that being said, GG. As I mentioned, the Rangers DID play well enough to win, so not many complaints there xD

Toronto has been a quiet crowd ever since they moved into the acc/Scotia bank arena 24 years ago. Real fans can't afford a 1k night for a couple tickets, food and drinks. The crowd (especially the lower bowl) is more of the corporate sushi eating, wine drinking type. Its why the Leafs are the most valuable team in the NHL according to Forbes
