nah i myself, unrecorded the team I made of all custom players at 75 ovr with set stats specific on their style and i put them elite , franchise and top 1 f[high] for some reason the top 1 f went high fast, the franchise players didnt get that good til like 2 seasons after the top 1 f goes into retirement

maybe to avoid teams that only won like 1 game getting into the finals, add AHL teams to the empty spaces that can be claimed. It may not affect the NHL teams too much but it is nhl 23 simulation so you never know, and atleast it challenges the team playing them.

This could take more time but a NHL imperialism where the attacking team can't lose there land but can still lose a player. And the player they steal is random so it's not always there top players

Next NHL imperialism, you should make free states/provinces worth at least something, so if a team gets a free state you spin a wheel of their top 5 best total players (skaters and goalies) and whichever player it lands on gets a +2 overall rating
