Ott is way better than Hill bro. The Knights team defense is playing so well they could win with some AHL / college or even a high school goalie that is worse than Hill. Did you see the first goal Ott gave up where Jason Richardson just let his guy go free. That is San Jose Sharks defense right there.

The big difference I see with this Golden Knights team versus the 2018 Stanley Cup team is DEFENSE. They've always been able to score - sometimes in waves, but bringing in Bruce Cassidy has made a world of difference in the Knights' ability to play tough defense in their own zone when necessary. Constantly dissrupting opponent opportunies and edging out pucks whenever possible. Very good all-around team.

I don't get why 'non-scoring' pivotal moments aren't put in these highlight reels. Where is the Jamie Benn Major call? That turned the whole game and yet isn't part of the highlights? In the Florida vs. Carolina game, why no replay of the actual calls that lead to the disallowed goals so we can at least see what was being discussed. I love big saves and opportunities but there is more to the game than that and I don't get why it is never shown.

The historical parallels are amazing! Both Florida and Vegas made the Stanley Cup Finals in their playoff debuts (Florida in 1996, Vegas in 2018), lost in the finals, and haven't been back to the finals since. Unless we see only the fifth (and sixth?) ever comeback to win after trailing 3-0, these two teams are about to make their second ever finals appearances against each other. Florida is the ultimate Cinderella team, who no one expected to win even their first series, yet kept pulling off stunning upset after stunning upset, just like their 1996 team. You know all of the Boston and Toronto superstars they beat this year, in 1996 they upset teams who had Ray Borque, Eric Lindros, Mario Lemieux, Jamir Jagr, and current Carolina coach Rod Brindamore. Since Vegas's previous trip to the finals was more recent, the parallels are less surprising, but just as intense. They are still a newer expansion team which was built into an immediate contender, but hasn't won it all yet. In the apparently inevitable matchup between them, Vegas would certainly be the favorite to win. But being the underdog never bothered Florida, either in 1996 or this year, except when the 1996 team made the finals and promptly let reality catch up with them as they were swept by Colorado. A great man once said that history never repeats itself, but it sometimes rhymes. Will history repeat the rhyme here, or will Florida disrupt the poetry? It should be an interesting series as we find out.

As a player you can only drop it at your feet, you can't hold it, pass it to a teammate or throw it on goal. As a goalie you can pass it with ypur hand, but you need to be quick, otherwise the refs will blow the whistle and it will be a faceoff in your defensive zone. I'm simplifying it, but thats the gist of it

Edmonton and Boston couldn't find a way past the tenacity of Vegas and Florida. I am most happy for Florida b/c they have been under-achieving for a few years.
