@@spoof1234 It all started with Mikko Koivu dropping his stick and taking Corey Perry's stick in a battle along the boards. Perry picks up Koivu's stick and scores with it, making the notion to show Koivu afterwards. What made it more funny was Koivu was a right shot while Perry was a left shot.

The title dang-it actually _has_ happened before: October 16, 1993, the original Winnipeg Jets host the Chicago Blackhawks; 41 seconds into OT Nelson Emerson of Winnipeg intercepts a clearing attempt by Ed Belfour behind the Blackhawks net by grabbing the puck with his glove, racing around to the front of the goal and throwing it into the net. And the crazy thing was that even after a video review, _the goal counted!_ The Jets won 1-0 off of a thrown puck in the net. No matter what anyone, myself included, thinks of the poor state of officiating in the NHL today, it used to be 100x worse.

With the Miller one the things I take are 1: Bruce usually doesn't pull his goalie until after the team has got the puck past the blue line into the neutral zone, so Delia might have been waiting for that. 2: Giving the number of times old JT Turnover there has turned the puck over this year I don't blame Delia for being hesistant to leave when he has it :P

I'm of a like mind on this, since there was an opposing player pretty darn close to Miller when he started yelling. As a result, I really can't blame Delia for hesitating when all of his training and instincts are telling him to stay put for the moment! 🙄

Bottom line, JT doesn’t make that call, the coach does. He can tell all he wants, he’s not in charge. The goalie goes to the bench when he’s told to BY THE COACHING STAFF, not by a 20-something man-child who can’t manage his emotions.

If u watch closely, you can Delia wasn't even looking at Miller when he was yelling at him. He was, rightly so, looking at the bench for the coaches signal to bail....Coach also confirmed that afterwards in an interview. Not Millers decision to make and extremely unprofessional!

Hey Steve. On the binnington dang it, I’m not sure why he felt the need to play the puck BUT he messed up twice! Yea bad pass but he had a chance to stop it. As a goalie I was taught to always skate toward the puck. If u skate to the right behind the net, stop the puck while facing the boards and send the puck right, skate right and make a big circle. This ensured the goalie will at lease be covering part of the net, rather than taking the long way round and being stuck behind the net. Hard to explain but hopefully that made sense lol

17:30 Steve was talking about talking it over to make sure the call was correct… I was waiting for the Ceci penalty in the Oilers vs Jets game from NYE where it’s very clear that the jet player deflected it out of play but the ref called the delay of game without talking to anyone else and the Jets score, going on to win that game 2-1.

Hey Steve, if you look at 9:28 you'll notice that the stick on the ice is actually broken so he couldn't pick it up. So rather than pick up the broken stick and take a penalty, or go back to the bench and leave the play giving the other team an advantage, he decided to steal the stick instead.. which is actually even better and made it all the more funny to me

I'm not a goalie (except in soccer) but I feel that the Blackwood dangit wasn't leaving the net - had he not left, Aho would have been all alone with the puck. Sometimes you need to be aggressive. The dang-it was the almost total whiff.
