I think this is a "both things are true" moment, but Beagle's cross-check is a disproportionate response. I mean, I get it. You're down 5 and a kid is poking at your goalie to get an easy one. You're only in this position because another team offered you too much money and then traded you to the worst team cause they were sort of trying to hit the cap floor. You might be playing out your last contract watching a kid mock your team. But that is not the fault of anyone on the Ducks.

More than a dang it for the Coyotes announcer. Basically justifying beating the crap out of someone who didn't really fight back, didn't take his gloves off, and continued to beat the snot out of him while he was down, literally just because he's a better player. Even if the puck was covered and he gave it a poke, Beagle's actions were way, way out of line. That should be a few game suspension at the least. Someone lays a dirty hit on one of your guys, by all means kick his ass. But attacking someone just because they are better than you? How low can AZ and their announcers get?

I agree with the point of this comment and agree that a player who continues punching after the other guy is down should be suspended. I'm in agreement with the conclusions. You do have the facts off a bit, though. Beagle hit Zegris (cross check in the back, should be 2 minutes). Terry didn't like it and came and jumped Beagle. Once Beagle won the "fight" with Terry (or realized Terry wasn't actually there for a real fight), he should've let Terry turtle and left him alone (Fowler wanted in; go fight him). If a guy jumps you, you have to be allowed to fight him, but you also have to stop when you've won. Beagle should have gotten 2 min for the cross-check, 5 min for fighting, and suspended for continuing to punch after winning the fight that wasn't really a fight (but there's not a penalty called "dismantling the guy who jumped you").

Allen did handle the puck with such grace and finesse. That one is on the D man.

There is a point in the game at which it was 5-2. The maing dangit goal he showed made it 5-3. He said what he said because it was what he meant to say. :)

Once the Defenseman has the puck, its his responsibility to make a good outlet pass. Definately NOT Jake Allens' fault.

Steve made a good point about Trevor Zegras doing the Michigan against an NHL team one day. On a side note, imagine the Toronto Maple Leafs loosing twice so far this season to a non-nhl Montreal Canadians.

I really hope that Aube-Kubel's 95 MPH goal is going to be a hat pick

Jake Allen's dangit was not remembering he is Montreal Canadien's goalie and that he should never trust anyone on his team to do something correctly, especially not a defensemen.

It's interesting to note in that comeback against NJ how progressively more optimistic the goal celebrations got

Surprised that Brad Marchand braining Andrew Peeke (directly in front of an official) so bad that Peeke was asleep when Debrusk scored a few seconds later wasn't here. Jumping into a check to the head, no penalty, no fine, no suspension. And the real kicker, Marchand would go on to punch Larkin in the back of the head the next night. Both should be Dang-It's.

This time the Montreal goalie actually made a good move going out of the net and made a solid pass to his teammate, the defensemen gets the dang it for passing it to the other team
