I remember being shocked when I found out Veronica Taylor had been announced as the new voice for Sailor Pluto and even to this day I still can't get that image of Ash Ketchum in a Sailor Senshi outfit out of my head! XD In all seriousness though, she is absolutely PERFECT in this role, nailing Pluto's cold and distant nature while sounding warm and maternal during her scenes with Chibi-Usa.

Veronica Taylor is by far my favorite - a really talented, under-appreciated actress, whose performance as Pluto here is just stunning. It's a shame, in Pokemon, that PUSA/TPCi had the audacity to fire her (along with most of her fellow cast members) after 8 years of quality work as their anime's protagonist. In Sailor Moon, while I prefer some of the original DiC voices to the new Viz voices, at least Viz isn't cheaping out on their cast - hiring Taylor was a smart move. All due respect to the late Susan Aceron (Gray), however. I may not have found her voice for Pluto ideal (of the original dub voices, I prefer Sabrina Grdevich from the DiC dub and movies), but I truly feel for not only what her family must be going through, but for what Susan herself went through in those last months of her life, struggling with cancer.

Chiyoko Kawashima- She portrayed it perfectly, she sounds like a mother figure for chibiusa, she sounds just perfect! Ai Maeda She sounds a bit Like Chi-san but still sounds amazing, I love her emotion, but as always she will never replace Chi-san. Jill Frappier- She still sounds like the voice she sounds for luna, but she still sounds unfitting. Sabrina Grdevich- She sounds a bit grating, the dead scream, god it doesn't sound right, even if it kinda sounds okay. Susan Aceron- She doesn't really sound like Setsuna/Pluto, but did great, RIP Susan, forever in our hearts. Veronica Taylor- Despite knowing her as Ash from Pokemon, She sound amazingly fitting for Pluto, I love her voice, My favourite English voice actress for Pluto!

its strange, I know it's a new dub but my mind says "no, you're 5 years old in the 90's watching Sailor Moon" mainly because I've heard her voice so many characters. She's using the same tone as when she voiced Ash's mom. Her voice is very nostalgic in the 90's clips because of that. I loved how she puts more feeling in the last Crystal clip compared to the Japanese actress.

I never got to experience Sailor Pluto too much growing up. The small amounts of time I did, I enjoyed it. I will always love Chiyoko's performance, since that was the very first time I heard her in action - not counting when Jill voiced her. I never really experienced the English version, so I can't really cast a fair opinion. I loved Ai Maeda's performance in Crystal. Pluto's sacrifice scene was done to perfection. Then comes Veronica. Holy crap, if that scene didn't make me tear up enough, her deliverance of the lines almost had Niagra Falls happen. It wouldn't be fair to say who my favorite was among these ladies. I think some of us can appreciate all they've done for this series.

Jill Frappier (the voice of Luna) was only Pluto for that one episode because you can't see clearly who Rini is talking to. It looks like Luna's human form in fact, and she calls her Luna P, so it makes sense for her to be Luna. However it's obviously later clarified that she calls Pluto Luna P.

Sabrina's and Susan's voices were simply beautiful. Soft, gentle and kind. The very definition of the Japanese word "yasashii". I was friends with Susan on FB, and remember reaching out to her, telling her how much I loved her voice and how she was so perfect for Pluto-Hime. We became friends after that, and I remember how devastated I was when she died in 2016 of Cancer. I reached out to Barbara Radecki and told her the sad news and she was shocked too. I will miss Susan and her beautiful voice so much. Pluto

...I think I'll call a tie between Sailor Pluto's Japanese voices - both Chiyoko Kawashima and Ai Maeda embodied the role beautifully.^^ Susan Aceron (RIP) had a fitting voice for her but her acting was just messy - I thought she sounded quite bored in some clips. Sabrina Grdevich is my least favourite voice though - not only did I find her acting worse than Susan's but she also made Pluto sound way too young. I honestly don't count Jill as one of Pluto's voices since it's obvious DiC thought it was Luna-P speaking in this scene - 09:12 - 9:45 - but at least she made her sound wise, I'll give her that much. :/

My opinion - 1. Ai - She is just the perfect Setsuna. Deep, but sweet and kind. 2. Veronica - Very similar to Ai. She did a great job. 3. Chiyoko - I really like her voice, but I don't think her voice is deep/mature enough. 4. Susan - Same as Chiyoko. Her voice is lovely, but it's just not deep enough and isn't Setsuna. 5. Sabrina - I don't like it. She sounds so robotic. 6. Jill - Ugh. It's s horrible. She sounds so old!

Susan's Pluto voice didn't fit the original Setsuna at all, but I still really loved her voice. Unlike Setsuna's constantly serious personality, "Trista" seems more like a quirky aunt. 14:38 always cracks me up because the original Pluto would never talk like that

The Japanese voice actresses for sailor pluto did a good job. for the dic dub version of sailor moon, jill just sounded weird as sailor pluto in only that episode as luna-p when she was talking to rini,sorry but that was really out of place too and cheesy. Sabrina did really great as sailor pluto too, I didn't know that her voice actress from the cloverway dub from season three passed away,(R.I.P.) Susan Aceron, I actually liked her voice as sailor pluto,she did a amazing job. Veronica Taylor is my favorite voice actor for sailor pluto in the viz dub, since she did ash's voice from pokemon too. She did a great job as sailor pluto in the viz dub of sailor moon too.

Man, I’ll be honest. As much as I DO think the Viz voice actors are better technically speaking, I think the original voices had a lot more character to them. That’s the problem I’ve noticed with voice acting these days. People don’t seem to have fun voicing characters these days in anime. The nineties and early 2000s were corny and dumb but you knew most of them had fun and weren’t taking themselves so seriously.
