Big Daddy Don Garlits with all of his Swamp Rat dragsters they were all very FAST and they set new records for speed and elapsed times and his name is a legend in top fuel dragsters and drag racing history we need all of his stories someone needs to do this very soon before it’s too late he’s a real tuff man and a great drag racer with all of his innovations he wanted to be the FASTEST driver and be the Best with every one of his Championship

In 1978 was the first time I went to the US Nationals at Indy on the east side of the the track where all the fuel teams pitted there must have been 40+ big riggs around the back side Big Daddy pitted with a Dodge pickup with a camper on top a small trailer his crew Art Malone and his wife.He qualified in top half of the field. Out of 25+cars trying to make the 16 car field many had to run their best ever to be in the show.Big Daddy didn't have the fastest car on the property but during elimination he was tuff,he won it all.

Great bit, good idea. Too bad the audience sucked. You have to go and get all of the Garlits stories from him before it too late. We can’t lose all of his stories. If you don’t do this who will?
