How about the word travel? I'm guessing it falls into group a because it included destination. For example, I am traveling to Paris would take the particle NI. But what about traveling _through_ . As in, I'm traveling through Europe. I'm traveling through Africa. I'm traveling through the countryside. Would that also use NI, or since it's an ongoing action wouldn't use the particle DE from the group B verbs?

Hello Riza!,,,, I am learning nihongo right now in a private school her in Japan named YUNITAS! my question is, in our school they thought us that when ever we use ikimas, kimas, & kaerimas we should use (he) instead of (ni),,,,, for example: Nihon (he) ikimas/kimas/kaerimas or, uchi (he) ikimas/kimas/karemas, and not Nihon/uchi (ni) ikimas/kimas/kaerimas!. Can you give me your answer about this. Thanks!

That is interesting. I've been learning at a university and they teach us to use ni (に) . From what I have been told e (へ) is a particle only used in sentences that contain motion. Where as ni (に) has multiple purposes and can mean to, at, on and in...so it can be used for motion and location.

@@-.-hyuga-.-882 just try googling it or typing it here in youtube you find out that some school use (Ni) and some use (He), I went to argue with this with my teacher because I use to keep using (Ni) before and also some Japanese use (Ni) but, later I found out that I can't ague with my teacher because this (Noun)+(He)+(Verb:ikimas_kimas_kaerimas)) is written in our Text Book, and later I found out that UNITAS is a famous Language School here in Japan, that gives me a reason not to change school! Thanks!

Yah.. for "に" and we can also use particle "へ" right for Ikimasu, Kimasu and Kaerimasu right? And for particle "で" is used to indicate where the action was going to happen or happened right? Ni is also is used in place of existence.. where someone or something exist..

学校へ行きますと学校に行きますの違うのは教えてください
@iPlayOnSpica
@iPlayOnSpica 5 жыл бұрын
学校に行きます means that you are simply going to the physical place that is the school premises. に is used since it doesn't matter what context you're going to school for. 〇〇へ行きます implies reaching a certain milestone or condition, so for an example for 学校, you'd likely use it on a child's first day of kindergarten or in a new school. Another use example would be 一位へ行きます, which translates to, "I will reach first place." You can't physically go to first place, as it is not a location but rather a condition you meet by winning a competition.
