I would love to hear a conversation between Peter Zeihan and Niall Ferguson. Fantastic work Niall and 16 ain't enough.

I remember a time when I was more than my data Before when I was a person instead of a product No more I remember when I was more than my likes and dislikes When I was more than what I read and watched Or bought at a store No more What happened I asked That's easy came the reply Big Data gave us free toys And giggled I mean googled all the way to the bank Where Rumpelstiltskin's kin spin our data into gold Beware If offered a free product You are the product Big Data made it so

*Travel bans are considered racist.* Ask the WHO, UN, EU, and China. Had the WHO/UN recommended a worldwide COVID travel ban from China, would things had been different?

Speak of contact tracing, mostly think that it’s impossible in democratic countries, because that’s a breach of privacy but I honestly think that if you have to stop the virus before the vaccine is made, then contact tracing is the effective way to fine ppl who get affected and contain. For public health and safety , this price you have to pay sometimes.

Now it is the middle of July and Newsom has ordered mak wearing again in L.A. So glad I do not live in California. I was in the 1964 Alaska 9.2 earthquake. Back then people came together and worked with their governor. The quake was on Friday and they managed to get a newspaper out by Monday telling people where they could go for water, free milk, and other relevant things. The federal gov. flew in generators and all kinds of supplies. It was simply amazing how quickly life got back to a sense of normalcy. We had no running water for three weeks or electricity. But everyone was given what they needed. Within 3 weeks I was back in school even though parts of the school were damaged. People are different now Neil. I live in wa and we are being told that at some point there will be a big quake like the one in Alaska. We are told to have 2 weeks of water, food, and supplies because we will be on our own. We even have a yearly earthquake drill for the entire state. Yet I am propably the only person around my neighborhood who does have enough water for 3 weeks. I also keep supplies in my car in case I am not at home. If we have a quake I shudder to think what will happen to most people.

A very interesting but long-winded way of repeating Von Moltke’s dictum that one’s plans won’t survive first contact with the enemy. "There is no such thing as 'The Science'". Thank you, Niall, for confirming what many of us already knew. Now, can we apply that to the ascendancy of the 'climate change' fanatics?

if there is no such a thing as science, then academics are just imposters. in this case, mr Ferguson also is a fake expert, because he cannot claim any superiority in his profession, it its just another perspective. if every theory is relative, how can you tell which one is better. so sad to see a good expert in the history of finance and economics going in territory he has no clue about

he is rather Mt. de-NIall Ferguson, for his ability to deny empirical evidence for the love of ideology.
