MINI PENGUIN DOODLE watercolor tutorial

Hey guys! Since it's December, I'm thinking of doing a whole bunch of christmasy and wintery paintings that can be used for Christmas or holiday cards, though the my other paintings would be more like a paint along type of video. Here's the first one how how to paint mini baby penguins, which would look great in a card, or as a pattern for maybe a notebook you can make for your friends and family as a gift! ^_^ Hope you enjoy!

This was so adorable. I am making a Christmas card with the three for my dear sister who has three grandchildren: two month old boy and two and four years's old for the two girls. I put a Christmas tree in the one hand of one, and a string of bright colored Christmas lights on the one with the hat, and the one with the scarf I put some holly and red berries in her hair. Thank you for this sweet drawing tutorial.

If its a bit hard to keep the point, you can also use a smaller brush size for the details. This is a local brand but I also use cheap synthetic brushes like reeves and it works fine :))

what size graphite do you use? it looks softer and easier to use than my .5 HB which doesn't quite do what i want it to. i'm new and just learning to improve my sketching skills, any tips would be appreciated :)

I usually use 0.5 HB or 2B 😅 I think it also depends on how nice the pencil is to grip 😊 I like thin and light weight pencils.

Hi Becky! Thanks for the input, I guess I put it because there isn't many christmasy music available to use commercially. I'm just curious if it's the same as other piano music or is it just the musicbox sounding instrument that hurts your ears? I've never interacted with people who has the specific issue so I'm just wondering how to find the middle ground, since having light music is also relaxing to some people. I do try to gradually tone down the music as I talk so ppl can lower the volume as the music comes if they find it distracting. I'd like to know a little bit more if you don't mind, and hopefully I can come to maybe a better solution for the majority of people watching... Thank you ^_^

Well if you would like to sell something using the design, I would greatly appreciate if you add your own flair to it instead of completely copying the design :) But in terms of the steps and technique/stye, feel free to use it to your advantage ^_^
