The vegetation is so unbelievably lush. What would be interesting is to see how it is throughout the year, especially a month into the dry season. On the west coast of Mexico it gets pretty arid the vegetation looks very different compared to the rainy season. As this was uploaded in early July can I assume this is part way into the rainy season? Most people would gladly give up the lushness for a lack of rain but if you're growing stuff without a large supply of water you depend on that rain. Or if you just like that look of vibrant green. It truly is the color of life. Very nice to wake up to. I bet people suffering from depression/anxiety/all kinds of mental problems would find living in such an area very soothing and recuperative.

Yes rainy season. What we do on our property is create various holding water tanks that capture rain and we use it during the dry months.

I’m curious as to how Nicaragua managed to stay almost COVID-free. Is it because they didn’t have Amazon to deliver it? (Sort of joking...)
@nicaraguabienesraices3 жыл бұрын
I think the answer is we live outdoors, business did institute covid protocols as you entered the buildings, also small merchants did the same. this is my opinion we feel very fortunate to be living here during the pendemic
@bobhoskins95954 жыл бұрын
So they put security bars on some windows but not others? Why bother with any of them? You either do them all or nothing. Then again, you have to remember that no window bars can withstand the attack of even a small cordless angle grinder. So if people can't hear that noise and take action you're gonna get robbed when nobody is around.
@nicaraguabienesraices4 жыл бұрын
Thanks Bob, the windows that have no screens have wood panels that come down and are actaully closed from inside, hope that helps. As we all know if someone wants in they will find a way. A good deterrent in our market is to have property dogs, not house dogs. For our 3 acre plus property we have 7 and they are outside dogs never allowed into the home, we have 5 different areas each dog or group of dogs can sleep and rest. So far we have had no issues, knock on wood. Have an awesome day and thanks for watching our channel.
@bobhoskins95954 жыл бұрын
@@nicaraguabienesraices I was thinking that dogs can be very effective, as long as they don't bark at everything. But it must cost a small fortune feeding 7 dogs or do you raise other animals like rabbits to feed the dogs? But why not build a grid window bar system in the windows that is fixed? I guess its kind of unsightly though. If only they could make really unbreakable glass that wasn't so expensive.
@nicaraguabienesraices4 жыл бұрын
@@bobhoskins9595 Its reasoable to feed the dogs. You need to train your dogs.
@bobhoskins95954 жыл бұрын
@@nicaraguabienesraices I wonder how much it would cost though there. Here in Canada I would always feed raw meat but still I was paying $1-$2/lb and they were eating about 2 lbs a day. If you have a farm consider breeding animals to feed your dogs. Typical dog food is just garbage. Just look at the ingredients, most are packed with starches: Dogs will never eat starches like flour by itself. Its a filler. Whenever you see "meal" in an ingredient its garbage. Also the salt in it dehydrates the dog as its acting as a preservative so it doesn't have to be refrigerated. A site called rawfed.com explains it well. Many others do as well. But the difference in your dog's attitude towards eating is night and day when feeding raw. I saw it in several dogs. You are so alpha in their life when you are the source of the raw meat and fish. (And whatever veggies it wants which is very rare.) It makes training them so much easier as well. Always just before they eat and the food is their reward. Mealtime is training time.
