Nice fast Otis Gen2 at TK Maxx, Cwmbran

I'M BACK!!Filmed in 2021. This was filmed in the summer before some restrictions were lifted, however social distancing was still observed and masks were worn.
This is a lift I haven't filmed before, located at Cwmbran retail park. I always knew TK Maxx was on 2 levels, but I never had to visit the shop until this particular day, as I needed to buy some work T shirts there. Onto the lift, it's a pretty standard Gen2 with the Gen2 voice, but the blue-lit fixtures were a nice thing to see and it went pretty fast too. With the guidelines in place, there was tape over the buttons for protection purposes, however that made things harder to press them. But all in all, it's a nice lift.

It was to protect people from touching the buttons because of the virus

I wondered why they put that tape on the fixtures. Was that COVID related or was it for another purpose?

I'm guessing it's for Covid purposes, not too sure though...! :)

Yes, I think it's COVID related. Most TK Maxx stores removed the tape after a while (but I wouldn't be surprised if they've put it back now), however, for some reason TK Maxx in Haverfordwest kept it on. It got to a point where the only explanation was that they must've forgot.
