I love it! I'm in the same situation, planing to upgrade the drivetrain and the brakes. Frame and fork already have disc brake mounts, but i didn't know how to rout the brake hose. Drilling the cable holder is fantastic idea! Do you think default length of 1700mm back and 1000mm front needs to be shortened? And how would you route the front hose? I have suntour fork with IS mounts but no routing clips...

Thank you for the feedback. You don't have to drill the frame, you can find commercially available mounts that are glued to the frame. Put the brakes on the bike and it will become clear whether you need to shorten them, as all frames are different, for different heights and different wheel diameters. There are no problems with attaching to the fork, and the adapter for IS mounts is not expensive. I wish you success!

Bonjour!! Je voudrais faire la même modif sur mon vélo et je voulais savoir si c’était possible d’avoir une roue en 27,5 à l’arrière et une en 26" à l’avant? Car je voudrais passer en 27,5 à l’avant aussi mais je dois changer ma fourche pour mettre des freins à disques.

If the frame does not have mounts for disc brakes, it is better to leave the V-brake, just install a better mechanism or pads. There are adapters for frames without disc brake mounts, but it is better not to install them as it is risky
