I loved this video, mainly because it's so realistic and encouraging. I've been self employed since 2019, from a job I started as a hobby (medical writing). I've tried so many other ideas, and the majority have failed, but like you I've had the 5% of ideas that have carried me through. It's easy to forget that as an entrepreneur because failure becomes a regular part of your work, which wouldn't go over well in the corporate world.

Exactly, there are likely going to be many failures and half starts along the way. Best of luck in everything!

Great video of 'real world' business experience! I have been at this for a while and have had a few little wins and losses. My biggest issue is always being afraid to jump into something and giving it 6+ months of commitment, in fear of (FOMO) wasting 6 months of my time going in the wrong direction. I recently made a decision to go all in on 2 things for the next 6 months that I feel will become a win for me. Thanks for the inspiration!

I also made my first money online on eBay & then selling clothes on eBay & 2nd hand sites like Mercari & Depop. eBay I went niche during the holidays; it was when those little rubber bead bracelets with the white & black beads were SUPER viral popular? So I bought like 200 at wholesale & made a KILLING during Christmas! Like $500 my first week! I haven’t done eBay in an awhile since - this was about 8 years ago now? - but niche research is a big part of being successful online & I think that’s why a lot of people struggle… because they don’t understand that being able to make good money online REQUIRES educating yourself on markets & trends, as well as learning some aspects of seo & sales psychology. Sure, there are times where you shoot in the dark & take off, like post a viral video & sellout, but the long term stuff requires CONTINUALLY educating yourself.

How do you know when to go all in and when to call it quits?
@niche-pursuits13 күн бұрын
Great question, and that varies a lot by business model. However in general I would recommend a budget and timeline you are willing to invest in an idea. Maybe that's $5,000 and 6 months for example. If you aren't seeing traction when you hit your "budgets" maybe it's time to move on.

Thanks for sharing. Here's mine and if they are still viable. My faceless did 220k views in November, and is not even a year old. Plus, it's affiliate based so I am doing so good! 1. KZbin - 8 Years now 2. Niche Websites - not viable now. 3. Faceless KZbin 4. Amazon Influencer - not viable now. 5. Amazon Affiliate Things that kinda work if I had more time. 1. Pinterest

Why don't you think Amazon Influencer is viable? I personally think it still is.
@Kevinstats2 күн бұрын
@@niche-pursuits My thought is, it's very saturated. If you are already doing it adding more videos doesn't seem to make as much of an impact. If you are just starting out it's a lot harder to get decent results. Of course, if you are just going to do it for a few extra bucks and use stuff you already have then it could work, but I don't see anyone making a business out of it where you pay for products (unless you need them). Don't get me wrong, that program saved me, and you actually go me into it, so thank you for that. It's just not in that sweet spot for new influencers. I still do a few sponsored posts a month to keep it active if I want the item, but I don't go out of my way anymore. Why do you think it's still worth it?
