God, I was there in Cologne. He doesn´t do it because Dad wants him to; it´s his nature and his spirit. He is living the music. When Phil Collins introduced the band, Nicholas Collins smiled a lot when the old members of the crew were mentioned. He played a few mistakes but his Dad sang some false notes. I have seen couple of shows of Mr. Collins and Genesis between 1994 and 2007 (including Grand Opening Of The Color Line Arena) but this was the best. Genesis is outside; another space. This was the best because it was a private atmosphere and the band played truely powerful. And the drummer is leading it. No reason for him to hide. I think there would be many drummers his age being arrogant playing drums at a Phil Collins gig; Nicholas does love it. Thank this guy for helping his Dad keeping the music alive live on stage.

I'd like to see him use more dynamics sometimes, but I'd say for his age he's an incredible player. I'm quite jealous actually--when I was learning drums at his age (in the 1970s/80s), we didn't have KZbin or really many drum instructional videos even. There were a few of course, but to even have a VHS or Beta video player was a luxury. And this kid has his dad to teach him as well--he's obviously benefited significantly from that, as he seems to play the parts very accurately. It's also very cool that PC gets to have his son on tour with him. What a bonding experience for those two!
