Although bleach is in the big 3 & one of the most popular anime of all time, I still find it incredibly underrated. I see lots of ppl praising Naruto & Op for their “deep writing” when bleach is way more nuanced & thought provoking in my opinion. Although i’ll admit the anime doesn’t do the manga any justice in terms of character writing/execution, I still see ppl downplaying bleach as a style over substance series which is painfully wrong

One thing I can say about JJK is that it's not a shounen...at least most of its elements have nothing to do with your typical shounen manga. It lacks the traditional tri-elements of "friendship, hard work and victory" in the shounen genre and focus more on the clashes between individuals with different ideals (or lack thereof), with nothing good coming out of them. And that's exactly why some people don't enjoy it.

In addition to the fact that the best anime you will recognize its quality, while the favorite anime you will be related to and still love it even when you admit its flaws. Its the art style bro. Fujimoto has a unique art style but anime literally make it like vedy detailed art style which many fans found not interesting. Example - See look back anime trailer .It has the same fujimoto art style... Also the main reason why csm season 1 is not very popular because they didn't show enough arc . Like Even in manga,Reze arc was the one which put csm on top. I hope reze movie will bring back csm anime popularity.

I wish Attack on Titan resonated with me as much as Nick. I love the show and rate it highly, but it didn't blow my mind so many times. My favorite moments to this day is Reiner & Bertholdt's confession and the episode that reveals Eren has been manipulating everything since the beginning. That was peak. Though, I kinda wish Vinland Saga had AoT's popularity. I personally think it deserves it as much, if not more. Though I know I may be the odd one out.

Black Butler is so underrated. I'm so happy the anime is following the manga instead of doing its own thing like before. But the series gets so overshadowed by all the weird fans combined with its reputation it got from the mediocre 1st and 2nd seasons, and it's truly a shame. My answers. Overrated - I was never able to feel, invested, in any of the "big 3" anime's plots or characters. Underrated - Katekyo Hitman Reborn and Mushishi come to mind pretty quickly. My favorite that I always go back to - Katekyo Hitman Reborn. There are plenty I've enjoyed over the years and even currently from all varieties of series types, and many that had huge fan bases that I could not get into. I watched another reaction channel absolutely tear Spirited Away a new one recently because they were looking at it as a plot based tale instead of a character based tale and did not understand a lick of what was being shown on screen. They were looking for that big battle and that big wrap up, and that's not what the story is about and the comments were brutal to the point where one of the reactors commented an apology and explanation. It was pretty upsetting all around but again, not everything is meant for everyone.

rant incoming: personally i don't care that much when people say aot is overrated (even when it is my favorite rn) what i hate is when people say stuff like "you love it because you haven't watched enough shows" but that's not true?? lmao I've watched plenty of stuff (not anime in particular) and idk about other people but i never thought of aot as the greatest cinema ever. i just personally loved it a lot. its great entertainment where i could enjoy a little "gore" without it being too much (I'm too squeamish for gory/torture stuff. yes even if it's only an animation. i dropped tokyo ghoul after first or second episode lol). it has heartbreaking moments alongside its epic moment, and the most important thing is that it has almost zero fanservice (i'd say it has none but maybe there were some i missed). i just abhor most of anime fanservice (or sexual jokes) involving women btw so there's that. its just like finally i found an action/shonen anime thats for me lol. anyway if you hate it when people enjoy something YOU don't then you can suck it

As a one piece fan I agree with the guy who thinks Naruto is overrated. Only reason is because there are so many people I know who have seen naruto, but refuse to watch One Piece. Its wild. They have also complained about One Pieces length, when Naruto has like 700 (although 40% of it is filler). And also, to your response to him, I agree with Kakashis backstory. I loved it, and is one of my favorite back stories in anime.

One Piece and Naruto is not overrated at all. Why do people think that way when they haven't watched it and just judge on the basis of popularity. They are not in big 3 for no reason. Both are my favourite anime of all time but if i have to choose one then it will always be One Piece. You can watch it over n over again and always find sth new. Oda is just perfect storyteller, you will get so much emotions just by watching it ( if you watch it without spoilers). And what is the most interesting and fun thing is that we can theorize the plot in our own way, characters and even ending of one piece. Surfacely, it may seem some goofy anime but it has more depth than any others. But if i have to choose one of the greatest anime ever made then it would be Attack on Titan.

Here's what i say about one piece being overrated, that doesn't mean im calling it bad. I feel when people see OP it's hard to get into considering that it has a 1000 episode you have to fully commit to watch all of the ep to get to the latest episodes just to catch up and it's alot work

As a manga reader, I get the hate for My Hero aacadamia. As an anime watcher I don't get it. I'm anticipating the anime ruining the story more than it already has (you can't tell me glossing over Midnights death and how it tramatized the kids doesn't severely hurt the story) but it's still a good show when you aren't familiar with the source material.

I like it but Jujutsu Kaisen is over-rated. It relies a little too much on the animation over substance. Character deaths didn't hit as hard as they could with better character development and there are the gojo simps

From my understanding, Overrated means something that was praised so much but didn't deliver the same level of other praised shows, so to me it's SAO, the plot was so interesting but they decide to ditch it half way on season 1 makes it bad, and then, the other seasons kind of riding the first half of season 1 popularity, but then Solo Leveling took over that overrated crown because it makes SAO look better even with the plot being fixed every season, And underrated is one that was less liked but was a good anime, I'd give that to Patlabor,

HunterXHunter is my favorite anime of all time. It didn't appeal to me initially, but once it hooked me, I couldn't stop watching it. It probably doesn't execute any one thing perfectly, but the overall value of everything in the show is top, top notch.

Underrated : fate stay night. While yes, nowdays its a confusing mess that discurage anyone. But 2004 fsn and unlimited blade work was gold. Zero wad too. They just get alot of bad rep due to the huge timeline. Which i get... Overrated : dragon ball as a whole. Look, i love the series due to nostalgia. But i will be honest, the series is a whole mess that makes no sense. Dbz is the complete opposite of one piece. Nothing is foreshadowed, characters keep loosing character growth, they make it all up as it goes and forget what happened before. Its the kind of series that you put your brain off and enjoy the fights. Which i was okay when i was 8. Now i find it very hard to like
