Its a popularity list on modern streaming platforms so you don't get enough of the top-tier stuff from earlier eras before streaming was a thing, because all the factors have to line up perfectly for a song pre-2014 to make this list at all (it has to be have been from a huge anime, be somewhat remembered by the internet/get a lucky spotify resurgence, been consistently available on youtube/spotify, not region locked, avoided getting its biggest video deleted off youtube, and maintained listens high enough to compete with modern bands fighting for high ratings on modern streaming sites.
