Asking your parent's permission is still a thing. There are Federal regulations around collecting information from minors 13 years old or younger, it requires a record of parental permission. I would assume the social media platforms all have an over-13 clause in their service agreements.

I did a stop motion with Windows Movie Maker on Windows 7, a few years ago. I used a much better camera, a Canon Powershot, but it was still slow as hell because that program is not designed for stop motion. It's almost as bad as I think it would be using the Nick Click, though, but because of the software not the camera. It's on my channel.

160x120=19200 x3 for each colour actually makes 57600 pixel. In other words only 0.06 megapixel, even lower than 0.1 MP!

Actually, subpixels don't work like that, so this is a 0.02 megapixel camera. I have a $20 camera, though originally it was $100, that has an 8x optical zoom, a 14 MP sensor, and supports SD HC, and that thing is from 2010, so yeah. This camera is horrific, and my camera, which blows this thing out of the PLANET, is $20 now.

I remember this camera! My parents got it for me after we got our first computer. I was really surprised to see how low quality the camera was, but I think the novelty of the software overshadowed all that as a kid. I mostly remember the monkey game in the FX room, which was pretty entertaining for a young kid.

I had one of these growing up! I would spend hours making stop motion shorts. I remember making a short where Spider Man's webshooter clogged. I used stretched cotton balls pulled more and more apart for each shot so it looked like they 'exploded'. It was my first dive into digital cameras, photo editing, and filmmaking and taught me the basics at a young age. I'm now a professional video editor and graphic designer so I have a soft spot for this one.

For reference, the Game Boy Camera shoots in 128x128, so the Game Boy almost has as good of a resolution as this bad boy. But hey, if you want to turn your photos into wall textures for your latest DOOM WAD, these are almost the right size out of the box!

And ????? I have several cameras like that some bought at car boot sales for 50p. Ideal for taking to the beach. If you drop it in the sea so what. I wouldn't do that with my 3Mpixel Canon Ixus though. That cost me £400 back in 2002. How times have changed.

A great pleasure to watch and do stuff along, as usual! My experience from this field would be a Lego Studios play-set. Although, I guess, it was a bit of a later thing. The set included a web cam made compatible with Lego pieces (handy to create a live camera mount), a bunch of buildings (purposed for spectacular demolishing) a car and a dinosaur. A CD with valid Lego movie making Software and mini-figure version of Steven Spielberg were also included. It was a dream box for me, and when I finally got it I had numerous hours of fun. Keep it up and good luck! P.s. I’d say that by today’s standards Nick Click is a fashionable Lomography experience.
