Incredible fighting spirit from Kyrgios after losing a MP in the 3rd and 4th set tiebreaks! His composure throughout this match was honestly impressive; I thought he would've faded in the 5th set, but he kept on fighting until the end. Regardless of how well he plays against Nadal, Australia will be proud of him for his efforts tonight. Also massive props to Khachanov for coming back 2 sets down and battling against the Aussie crowd.

I don't think it's a shame because Nadal would have comfortably beaten him next. Khachanov is 0-7 against him and has only taken 1 set. Add in the fatigue from 8 and a half hours on court in his last 2 marches and you have no contest.

@@kieranrankie203 yeah, first I was rooting for Nick too, but when I saw what a comeback Karen started I wanted him to win this, it would give him tons of confidence, and thats what he needs the most right now I think

@@pavelrozov741 I think the fact that he came back from 2 sets down and actually played really good tennis will help his confidence, even though he lost in the end. It was 50-50 after the first set. Karen should be proud of his performance.

@mikepiazza77644 жыл бұрын
he did and pushed him. I think Nadal though had a real look of determination and put EVERYTHING into it. Like he really didnt want to lose to Nick of all players, not so sure he would've done the same thing against another player. Time for Kyrgios to start winning those matches though.

@@camctrail - he is capable, no doubt about that, but I just don't see it happening, Nick is running on huge emotions right now after that win oh, he's going to be in front of his home crowd and regardless of what people say that is huge pressure to try to beat Nadal. Nadal is just going to be too mentally strong for him, The Only Reason by Nick beat him at Wimbledon years ago was because he was a young player with nothing to lose and absolutely no pressure and no worries during that match it won't be the same this time.
