it's not that some don't understand it... it's just to some feels boring.. not like FPV quads ... try and FPV that heli and you will puke in about 30 secs....lol but this....kzbin.info/www/bejne/mqjHlmyugd51ldU is a whole nuother animal.. I love this kind of flying.. I build and fly them.. fun and the pucker factor when you are in it (FPV) and doing 112mph through the trees at a park or building diving like Mr Steele .. other than jumping out of a plane HaloDiving .. nothing like it.. :)

i have been flying los and fpv racing for five years. seeing these types of videos made me get one and its been 2 years and i crashed them all and couldnt get them to fly right again. i gave up for now. its so hard to do i dont feel comfortable flyin it close enough to me to be able to not lose orientation. makes flyin quads seem like a walk in the park. i can fly it amazing in the sim though that is realllly fun. almost too fun. so much work and money over one slight mistake. hopefully some day.

@adrock08012 жыл бұрын
Amazing, because it is not simply 3D but actually more aerobatic flying. Most people which are not in this hobby don't realize how complicated it is to control a heli, because the controls are always relative to the actual tail position (and of course all other axis).

Insanity at its highest level, awesome to watch. Though not having much experience or knowledge on this, can you tell me something I'm left wondering? The control of flight. Are you flying the heli as if you were in it or is it more memorizing (like muscle memory) movements on the transmitter? I look forward to an answer for the sake of intrest in an amazing display of skill either way.
@CloudyFlyerRowdyNiemira2 жыл бұрын
Muscle memory definitely plays a part, it's like a martial art that requires dedication and much practice, however once you have an understanding of how this works, it's all up to your imagination. Nick is also one if the best in the world. Hope that helps and thanks for watching!
@JL-el9kb2 жыл бұрын
When learning it helps to imagine yourself in the heli to practice your hovering orientations. Tail in, nose right, nose left and nose in. After that you practice muscle memory for those same four basic orientations but with the heli moving and gaining the skill to transition between the orientations. There is a control orientation for every heli orientation. At least that's how I broke it down. For example, to fly upright forward coordinated turns both control sticks move left or right depending on Left or right turns. But to fly inverted forward coordinated turns both sticks are opposite each other(in terms of left and right). Than flip all that for upright backwards flight and inverted backwards flight. With upright forward and inverted backwards both being symmetrical control inputs, but opposite in turn direction... Lol yeah it takes awhile. And that's not including elevator inputs nor collective inputs. Breaking it down like that though helped me to remember what to switch to while learning. But the really cool part is that after a while you don't really need to think about any of that. You just think what you want to do and the heli does it. Your subconscious takes over just like walking, you don't think about controlling all the muscles it takes for you to walk, you just get up and go. It's the closest possible thing I could imagine to actually being telekinetic. It's amazing, addicting, adrenaline inducing... Well you get the idea. Years of purposeful practice to get to that point though.
@ridetheapex2 жыл бұрын
@@JL-el9kb That is a cool way to put it. I am not that far in practice but when you said it is like telekinesis I completely understand how bad ass that must feel to do. I hope it clicks for me soon. I have also heard that once it does, it is like "flying the disk." It will be fun to get that good some day.
