This is the band that will make you famous amongst the metal crowd and i know it! you are easily one of the best drummers ive ever seen. i keep telling people about you since 2004...This band is mind blowing. Keep kicking ass Nick!

This is programmed in SD, thats why it sounds like SD....This is how me and Gianluca exchange ideas, by using the audio youre listening to. Then I play to what I program. This will be re-recorded hence the description stating this is Pre-Pro.

Best thing I've heard all month. I'm SO stoked to hear more of this. I feel like a few of these guitar riffs are something Zappa would have made if he were still here. I love progressive instrumental stuff (not for a lack of appreciation for metal vocals, I think Akeldama was a perfect album), and you playing drums in that kind of stuff is like a dream come true to me.

Listening to your so far released tracks on and on. Your snare drumming (double bass is fine and all, but not so important for me) and rhythmic nuances as well as the vividly explorative guitar play in combination with... oh well too shorten this: With this project, you somehow combined almost everything i like about music.

Awesome! the funny thing is that both u & Shannon Lucas have inspired me to use 3 rack toms, as apposed to 4, & since i had an extra tom as a result i set it up as a left floor, not knowing that u would actually do the same thing when u acquired your new Tama set. I myself own a Tama Rockstar with same set up as yer improv groove video (the one with the snare off) left floor, 3 rack, 2 floor on the right. Hope ideas flourish from this! What u do is epic & i forever am a fan & fellow drummer :D

Very sick dude keep this stuff comin!!! Noticed you changed your beaters, i recently switched to speed cobras and been wondering if there's anything that works better than the stock ones, how do you like the ones youre using here? Also, your old 8" byzance dark splash is getting very good use as part of a stack with my 10" ozone splash, sounds awesome and just recorded my first full length album with it!
@RasputinPrime753 жыл бұрын
There are quite a few really good pedals on the market that were not available 20 yrs ago. Direct drive, Chain, or Strap. Iron or Speed Cobras, DW 9000 or DW Machined, Pearl Demon Drive or Redline Eliminator, Axis, Trick. It all boils down to preference, comfort, and what works for you. I have owned them all except Trick, but i played one briefly. It sucks there's not a pedal store that has all the best ones you can try out. I use the Trick Dominator beaters on my pedals, they are amazing they really stand out for playing metal. They are one of the few if not only beaters made of metal. Wood is good too.If your playing metal dont use felt. But like i said its all preference. It looks like Nick is either using wood or plastic beaters, but really cant see it too well.

I did say Nick Pierce is a great technnical drummer, if you didnt read my previous post properly. As for Chimp Spanner, I think Paul Ortic is more musically diverse and creative, than Gianluca Ferro, who wrote music for this. Also, you dont have to type @nickname to reply someone.

guitarist is a bit too 'noodley' for my tastes. too melodic and kind of fails to use proper dynamics for the song to 'relax' at times and provide tension at others. less is more. ofc this is just my opinion.
