This is probably my favorite of your Nick rants you've done so far. Nick doesn't. care about quality programming anymore. It relies on Dan Schneider for hit shows, they only care about being cool and trendy, and with Legend of Korra, they definitely don't care about it enough to promote it so it gets more viewership. Now that Korra is off of Nick, there is nothing on there worth watching for me except TMNT and the Nick at Nite block later on in the evening. Congrats, Nick. You have officially gone down the drain.

I really wish I had something to say about this, but I don't. All I can say is, whatever kind of new management this company is having, it's evident that they really, really do not know what they are doing. I feel bad for kids who are growing up with Nickelodeon in its current state. I really do. The things you learn as a child can define who you are. The shows people watch growing up can really affect them for the rest of their lives, whether they know it or not. The importance of that fact is often not given the amount of attention it requires.

Also, Sam and Cat was canceled like a week ago (Couldn't be happier). And its finale may be the worst episode of the series. As for Spongebob, it's not looking too good. There have only been TWO episodes since Spongebob You're Fired. Not sure why they're holding Yeti Krabs.

Actually, they've aired two episodes since "SpongeBob You're Fired." There was "It Came from Goo Lagoon (a 22-minute special)" and "Kenny the Cat." But, still, that's two episodes in, what? 4 months and 18 days? And it's been about 4 months later and they haven't announced "Yeti Krabs" yet? What are the creators of SpongeBob doing? Drinking booze while scratching their ass? *Zeus Cervas and Casey Alexander enter Paul Tibbitt's office* Zeus: "Hey, Paul, buddy! When are we going to release more SpongeBob episodes?" Paul: "Ehh..." Aaron Tipee Well, just as PieGuy said, I think that _Nickelodeon_ should air a few more episodes (preferably 3 or 4 more 11-minute episodes) before they release the movie, just so that fans (yes, modern SpongeBob has fans) have at least SOMETHING to look at up until that point. Cartoon Network is winning as far as cartoons. Steven Universe, Adventure Time (though the newer seasons aren't as amazing) Gumball, and Regular Show. Disney is hanging in there with Gravity Falls. But Nick? Nick has nothing. It is kinda sad too. They had Fairly Odd Parents, but it is going down hill so much. Also murder that dog.

They should have ended the series with the live action movie, because they are obviously running out of ideas.

After they took Korra off the air, I declared myself to be done with the network, as all that are doing is just repeating the same mistakes again and again. The shows are getting worse, and the network executives are only wanting to make the channel more "hip" and "cool" when it's failing badly. I mean really, MORE internet shows? I thought FOP having an episode about Timmy wanting a smart phone was bad enough, but this is just desperate, I really think Nick is desperate at this point, even Disney Channel is doing better than them.

I hate how Nick treats Korra. Oh sure, they marathon Spongebob all the time and promote that crappy new sitcom Henry Danger all day, but they NEVER promote Korra (their ONLY good show with good characters and plot with quality) like they should. I don't understand how they promoted Avatar so well back then and the show was successful, yet not give a crap about their second series. Korra is literally the only reason why I watch Nick from time to time. Well, I still look forward to the rest of season 3 on their site, but it's so sad how they treat the show.

I also want to think you for going the mature route. Most nick rant's or nick suck's vid's usually blame modern day kid's or teen's for the shit they put up, but you actually realize that most kid's usually don't expect much from the cartoon's and just watch it because hey, it's pretty and weird. When they actually get to expecting more from the show's they watch, they just turn out and watch other show's or go online or watch netflix to get their enjoyment. It sicken's me on how so many nostalgic kid's from yesterday just blame the new generation of children for crappy or mediocre cartoon's when they just did the same thing when they we're young. Okaky, this year I went to Comic Con in San Diego and I cannot agree with you more. There was a booth dedicated to Nickelodeon and high above the ceiling of convention floor, you can see a collage of all their currently running shows "Except Korra". I didn't even bother to to approach the booth due to the fact that I see all these kids with their cell phones taking selfies with the guys in mascot outfits (which btw are treading into uncanny valley and are extremely creepy) of their airing shows and it seems like they are just going through the motions. I go to the Cartoon Network booth and it was so much more memorable. It felt timeless and unable to die.

Nickelodeon needs to be saved, though I fear that most of us (including me) don't think they're even worse saving. I honestly don't think the network will get better, especially after seeing the up-and-coming sitcoms they have planned in the aftermath of Sam and Cat. Good God, they look fucking horrible. I'm embarrassed for the people working on those awful shows.

I'm 31 and back in the day, it was a really good network. I started when Nicktoons were new. Doug, the Rugrats, Ren and Stimpy. Those were all shows that broke the mold. Disney was spending massive amounts of money to produce high quality cartoons like Duck Tales, Gummi Bears, Chip N Dale, etc. Nickelodeon couldn't hope to match them so they instead choose to make cheaper cartoons that were very different. This was why the network had Rocky's Modern Life. As a kid, I got tired of the Disney format and felt those shows to be lame and kiddish around second grade. So when Nickelodeon busted out these cartoons, it was really refreshing. Hey Arnold eventually replaced Doug (Hey Arnold was a much much better show about a kid in school full of interesting characters and scenarios). I didn't care for Angry Beavers, Catdog, and the Wild Thornberries much, though I did enjoy Kablam! Around that time, Cartoon Network started producing cartoons like Dexter's Lab, Johnny Bravo, and Cow and Chicken and those were different and innovative enough that I jumped on that bandwagon. I was in high school when Cartoon Network's Cartoon Cartoon did it's rise. Everyone in school was talking about the Power Puff Girls and Dexter's Lab. It was all epic until we started to get bored of it and Nickelodeon produced Spongebob and Fairly Odd Parents. The peak of the network can be seen if you look up the Nicktoon Summer Beach House advertising. Spongebob in the beginning was better than what cartoon network was producing and Fairly Odd Parents had all the humor that shows like Dexter had and more. Eventually Cartoon Network stopped showing their classic shows and Nickelodeon failed to produce very good Nicktoons and eventually I finished college and moved away and didn't have cable and youtube replaced TV altogether.

Legend of Korra & Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles were the last two great shows left on Nickelodeon, yet Nickelodeon fails to advertise both of these shows a lot especially Korra. That's why we can only see Korra online now. All Nickelodeon relies on these days are SpongeBob, Fairly Odd Parents, & Dan Schneider shows, without those three, it's a wasteland, matter of fact, it's already a wasteland to most of us. The rest of the Nickelodeon shows are just online spinoffs, Dreamwork spinoffs, and video game spinoffs & that's it!!! There is NO ORIGINALITY on Nickelodeon anymore!

Here is my thoughts on Each Show they Have: Modern SpongeBob- There are SOME Gems, but the rest is either filler, or Atrocious. and for those of you who believe it will end after the second movie? HA! I'm beginning to believe Craig Ferguson was right about there being a 20th anniversary! Fairly Oddparents- Similar boat to SpongeBob, actually. There is far more crap then gems, and I cant foresee it ending anytime soon.....a third movie, WHY?! Korra- Will be missed..... TMNT- Is actually good! Breadwinners- I'd rather watch a marathon of Twilight than 1 second of this show... It's like starring at Shit for half an hour, and I just feel violated after watching the comercials Alone! Sanjay and Craig- See Above, Multiply by 100.......I'd rather be brutally and slowly murdered, feeling every bit of the pain at full force, and then go to hell afterwards, than watch this show...... Sam & Cat- Bad. apparently it's being canceled because Jeanette McCurdy hated how the network was treating her...? good going on her part. Haunted Hathaways- VEERRRY, BORING. Thundermans- it's like if the Incredibles amounted to nothing more than Dash and Violet being hostile and terrible to each other... even worse, I have a sister who is just like that to me. the superpowers are just a gimmick to draw people into another Disney Channel Sitcom Every Witch Way- It keeps coming for a month, and then vanishing all together. I could care less. Awsomeness TV- This is something you post on your Social Media Site- the links to some videos you like. NOT Something you post on TV, unless it's something like World's Dumbest. Nick has been steadily self destructing since around 2009. I find that incredibly Ironic, since that's when Hub showed up, as well as when CN began DRASTICALLY improving itself with stuff like Adventure Time and Regular Show. Jw Jack Bravo man and btw I really feel that Nintendo is doing what Nick is doing with "Lets milk the cash cow dry!" But Nintendo hasn't forgotten about trying new things (cough Splatoon cough) and doesn't let the series that people love but isn't as high grossing as Mario get new games. Honestly it is easier to notice crappy games than crappy shows. In video games YOU play it and experience it and YOU can notice if its a fun addicting game or a crappy glitchy mess. But with TV it is ALOT harder to notice yeah you can notice somethings if you try hard enough but casually no you can't it just washes over you like music. The only thing you can tell is if it passes time quickly and with crappy TV shows its EASY. Just give a some what interesting topic that you like and your hooked its that easy and you can't notice a thing.Nick does this alot making a crappy show with bad characters and jokes but just hooks you with the some what desent episode topic and they do stuff you loved as a child and crap all over it with a paradoy. Paradoys in tv shows is just lazy not just a refrence but A HOLY TV SHOW THAT IS A PARODY! Yes I am talking about Every Witch Way, which is a paradoy of Sabrina the Teenage Witch and just for fun I am going to list somethings that are similar with each tv show. Girl moves to a new place and discovers their powers, both have a magic book which helps them, both turn someone into an animal(to test out new powers) (or object in Sabrina's case out of anger) and struggle to turn them back to hide powers, have a witches consul that REALLY ruins the protaginists day, Don't have mom with them(or can't even CONTACT THEM) due to death or law, are half and half, torn between two boys and chooses the one that they met the first day, both have boyfriends that discover that they are a witch later on in the series, both have a magic affect when using the magic, both fight an evil witch, both have a helper to help them learn the magic, both use magic at school, both use cantations (Sabrina only did this a few times and Emma uses them ALL THE ****ING TIME in the begging but still takes a long time while Sabrina thinks of it zaps her finger and its there), both had to chase after a human (or witch) turned monkey, have an other world, having STUPID RULES THAT MAKE NO SENSE, have element powers (In Sabrinas case every witch can do it in Emmas case one person has it), has mean girl that just loves to torture the hero, and a hole crap ton more but this is already longer than the rant so you come up with some more if you can. But usally every case the original is ALWAYS BETTER! I am only comparing the plots since I can do this all day long. Sabrina the Teenage Witch is about a Teenage Witch (Just pointing this out but Sabrina gets her powers at 16 and their is a pure blood witch who is I think 8 in her first appearance who already HAS her powers is it only a half blood thing) who is struggling to control her powers and stay in control with her mortal and witch life and in each season she is dealing with something different in her life (collage, family secret, ect.). While Every Witch Way is about a Teenage Witch who is the chosen one (face palm) who must save the world in each season. Now which one sounds more oredicnaly and something you would like to see, for the time Sabrina the Teenage Witch was more oredinaly and creative while Every Witch Way is cliché and something you see everywhere nowadays. But in video games it is easier to just make a paradoy of another game or copy the same formula over and over again with a new coat of paint but the original ideas are regonized, splatatoon may be similar to a shooter but it is original enough to be regonized and hyped alot. This is what the bold do to try to get original ideas like Nintendo but while Nick tries this it fails because it doesn't have the key elements it needs (differs for each game\show) and makes a crappy TV show that fails to be creative or unique. This is how Nick gets away with its stuff while Nintendo doesn't its easier to notice a horrible game than a horrible tv show. Its easier to notice the crap and paradoys have original games to go with them more often than tv. And please note that I may have forgoton something, may have gotten something wrong and you may not agree with me on somethings. So don't complany and just tell me your opinions in a nice mature way. Sorry for that little waring think Jack I just don't want people to complain and be man babies. You know what? I'm a late 90's/early 2000's kid and PROUD OF IT! Why? Because I got the best of both worlds. Think about it. Nick and CN were both great in the 90's, but they didn't REALLY hit their peak until the early 2000's. Spongebob aired in 1999, and arguably was at its best around 2001-2002. Fairly Odd Parents aired in 2001 (the real show, not those early pilots), and it was a really good show back then. As for CN, of course it wouldn't have been complete without Ed Edd n Eddy, which was prominently a 2000's show. And let's not forget Toon City, one of the best ideas of Cartoon Network, that aired in 2004. And I'm not talking about just Nick and CN, but other shows like Futurama and South Park aired in 1999 so many shows were really at their pinnacle in the early 2000's. It wasn't until the mid-2000's that things really took a turn for the worse. I'm just glad I was able to experience the cartoon high, and not its comedown, it's "Roaring Twenties" and not its "Great Depression" so to speak :)

I mean, I hate some of Cartoon Network's business practices, such as rejecting the Modifyers because it's too girly or something. And while I don't like the problem solvers, it definitely was great for Cartoon Network because they were experimenting with something new. But I can whole-heartedly say that CN is probably the best children's programming network, other than maybe Discovery Family or the Hub or whatever. To be honest I had a small feeling this would be Korra's fate around the middle of season 2. They started airing the show at new times, it got moved to the Friday Night Death Slot, the commercials didn't air until a few days before the season premiere, and new episodes were aired together two at a time. All of these are methods are used to lower a show's views, just so Nickelodeon can say, "Well, the show wasn't getting the ratings we wanted, so we had to cancel it." Yeah, right. Korra was obviously getting "Screwed by the Network." It's quite a popular TV Trope if you want to look it up.

It really is a shame that Nickelodeon went from caring about kids of all ages, even young adults, to only wanting to appeal to 3-5 year-olds because they think it's easier. To be fair, it is MUCH easier to just throw together a bunch of fart jokes and references than it is to work hard to write creative stories with unique characters that anyone can relate to. But little kids deserve better than that! I work at a daycare as an aide with the camp kids, and they always ask to watch Nickelodeon at TV time. I just couldn't stand Sanjay and Craig, Breadwinners, or any of the God-awful sitcoms, so I brought in my kindle, hooked it up to the projector, and showed the kids some episodes of Hey Arnold, early Spongebob, Jimmy Neutron, and Danny Phantom. I also showed them The Amanda Show and Drake and Josh. And guess what? They all loved them! But it made me wonder: kids clearly like shows that are well written, deep, and entertaining; more so than shows that are lousy, bland, and unoriginal. If that's true, then why doesn't Nickelodeon make shows like they used to? Like I said, it is easier to make cheap shows, but they don't NEED to make cheap shows. They have enough money and resources to make great shows, so why did they stop in like 2007- now? Why don't they try anymore? Why have they stopped caring? Don't they realize how important this network was to us? I mean, if you grew up in the 90s and early 2000s, then this network was your television equivalent to Disney movies. The shows, for the most part, made up so much of our childhoods! This network wasn't just a way for us to pass time, it was a way for us to be entertained while educated. An escape from reality at times and an experience of reality at others. It had shows with relatable characters that taught us valuable lessons and beautiful morals. It was diverse and unique, but now it's just a bland mesh of pop culture, references, and fart jokes; like a recycling system that keeps churning out the same garbage again and again. And one question remains at large: Why?

The Fine Bros. are hacks who managed to find the most laziest way to make money: record someone else watching someone else's video and get paid for it. They are everywhere, usually on the front page, and unavoidable on youtube, and now you are saying they are going to be on Nickelodeon? It's bad enough that I have to look through pages of "recommended" videos with their videos plastered on them in order to find actual good content, but now they are gonna be on T.V.. At least I don't watch Nickelodeon anymore.

Cartoon Network has improved like you mentioned. At least they still have originality. The only problem I still have with Cartoon Network is lack of variety, they need to stop repeating marathons of the same shows back to back for several hours. For example, "Johnny Test, Johnny Test, Adventure Time, Adventure Time, Regular Show, Regular Show, Gumball, Gumball, Looney Tunes Show, Looney Tunes Show, Adventure Time, Adventure Time, Regular Show, Regular Show, Annoying Orange, Annoying Orange, etc." & it would repeat the same slot of shows later in the day again. Back then around 1992-2006, Cartoon Network would only have a show come on once a day for half and hour, then the next show, then you'd have room for tons of cartoon shows at one time, that creates variety of so many shows on one network! For example, back then the time slot would be like "Dexter's Lab, Johnny Bravo, Cow & Chicken, Powerpuff Girls, Scooby Doo, Billy and Mandy, Foster's Home, Camp Lazlo, Justice League, Looney Tunes, Tom & Jerry, Duck Dodgers, Flintstones, Jetsons, Dragonball Z, One Piece, Sailor Moon, Naruto, Samurai Jack, Batman TAS, Superman TAS, Animaniacs, Ed Ed n Eddy, Courage The Cowardly Dog, Total Drama Island, Chowder, Smurfs, etc." That's called VARIETY of random different shows a day! Stop repeating the same shows over & over again or else you'll only have 6 different shows come on the network for the entire day instead of 100+ different shows like the channel used to. Cartoon Network treated Young Justice like Nickelodeon treated The Legend of Korra, except CN cancelled it instead of putting it somewhere else. Cartoon Network needs more action shows, it's seems like action shows aren't being respected like they used to back in the day. I'm tired of adult swim starting at 8pm, that's waaaay too early, now CN only last 14 hours. What happened to Cartoon Network lasting up til midnight (24 hours) like it used to. Lack of variety is a problem & they need to expand the hours of the network back to how it used to be.

I love the React series, but only because the reactees views are interesting most of the time. And considering that this React show is gonna have reality show elements really hurts me. I mean, they are missing the point of the *WHOLE SERIES*. I really hate to be in the Fine Brothers' shoes right now... Also, new Dan Schneider shows? -_- Seriously Nick, I HAVE BEEN DREAMING TO WORK WITH YOU GUYS SINCE I WAS A KID! YOU'RE RUINING YOUR CHANCES GUYS AND I'M *SERIOUSLY* CONSIDERING THE HUB TO BE MY WORKPLACE. Unless if you improve, there's *NO* way you guys are gonna air my show. There's *NO* way that I'm gonna help ya in any way, shape or form with your current shows. I agree with you on everything. If I was making a cartoon, I certainly won't pitch it to Nick even IF it gets better in the future. I just wish Nick received a wake-up call, because this narrow-mindedness is killing the network.

Anybody see the Radio Disney Music Awards 2014? Before and after commercial breaks, they were showing people taking selfies and photobombing, while at the same time they were calling out hashtags. Same with Nickelodeon, just trying to follow internet and social media trends to attempt at staying relevant with that crowd. If they want variety and originality, how about they do something that doesn't rely on things that are already existent.

What's really sad is Nickelodeon used to take risks. Look at Invader Zim. It was definitely too dark and disturbing for kids, but Nickolodeon aired it anyway. They made sure to keep the writers of IZ in check so they wouldn't scar children as much, but they still let a lot of creepy stuff through. We NEED another show like Invader Zim. It was so different to what you would expect from a kid's show and yet it was still very likeable. I'd say bringing back IZ would fix this, but as PieGuy here said, it will never happen. And I sadly agree.

At this point, getting Nickelodeon replaced with another channel would be a mercy killing. The great shows that the network used to air don't deserve the association any more, and it is for that reason that we should just put it out of its misery.

You're absolutely right, Nickelodeon knows that they don't even have to try and keep their audience because this new generation has known nothing but what they're airing. These kids have no idea what things were like a mere ten years ago, and it's sad to see my favorite shows like avatar the last airbender, jimmy neutron, and my life as a teenage robot completely forgotten. Nick toons doesn't even air those shows, in fact they don't air ANY classic shows. Just new Nickelodeon shows like breadwinners, the haunted hathaways, and dream works movie spin offs. I, however still have faith that one day Nickelodeon will once again air the old shows, put more effort into new, quality cartoons, and maybe even reboot shows like my life as a teenage robot which didn't receive a proper ending. I still believe classic nick will return, someway somehow.

I love this rant, though I don't think Cartoon Network is quite imaginative or experimental today either, that'd explain why they constantly marathon shows that they already know are successful, and don't really experiment with more variety.
