Why are so many people obsessed over these actor's orientations? Who cares? The only thing that should matter is if the person is right for the job, period! Furthermore we need to respect everyone's personal lives. As for straight guys playing gay roles it's no different than playing a starship captain, a business executive, an animal (like Planet of the Apes), an alien (like Avatar) or a monster You commit wholeheartedly to the job in order to deliver your best performance possible. Tim Curry was wonderful in the Rocky Horror Picture Show Robin Williams killed it in Mrs. Doubtfire Richard Harmon was pretty convincing to me in his role for Judas Kiss but he;s straight It's been said that, due to his role in What's eating Gilbert Grape, that people actually thought Leonardo DiCaprio was mentally challenged in real life. More recently Noah Schnapp was amazing in Stranger Things season 2. The convulsion scene in the grass field was all him, no machine/straps, no CGI or special effects. The "interrogation" and "exorcism" scenes were highly convincing. On a more humorous note Anyone get the feeling that Nick is giving Katherine that "oh I wanna wreck you so bad right now" look? Other evidence That downward look around 0:45-0:50 He appears nervous/rest-less The crossed legs - hiding something perhaps?
