Last time I was at a dealership the young salesman seemed like he was on drugs, didn't know anything about the cars, and he kept reading the truck bed size as "six inch" instead of six feet. Then an older salesman stomps over and barks at me "HOW CLOSE ARE YOU TO BUYING?" I had been on the lot for 3 minutes. He reeked of alcohol, cigarettes, and too much cologne to try and cover it up. He had scars on his face like a movie villain and a discolored eye. I think it's pretty easy to get a job selling cars if you can read.

My boss at Car Mart was exactly this minus the scars. In his office, he had all Harry Potter Funko Pops and wands. He bought his kids PS5s and Jordans while on the brink of heart attack from debt stress. He drinks 6-10 Monster ice coffee a day. A lot of Americans are living like him. It makes me want to live somewhere with morality.

What's funny is that I sell used cars to old ladies who just need an affordable hatchback or a small crossover for seat/road height. And what he says is right don't try to con anyone basically, instead just straight up tell them the truth and let them make the decision themselves. If people want a car they will buy, it's as simple as that.

One thing that actually helps a non-psychopath sell cars is by actually being interested in cars themselves, or being so aggravated with bad cars that you've sought out good ones for yourself, knowing what works for you and trying to direct customers towards what you truly know to be a good deal will help you net the customers who are actually interested in what your dealership has available. Because while salesmen have a reputation for lying, honest information is 100x stronger reinforced than any lie you can think up on the spot. Put simply, know your shit and don't be a psychopath.

Because Sam originally made money through his Gumroad Paywall and merch. Once the idubbbz drama happened, he switched his monetization to stream paypigs and merch. He is making insane money, and his paywalled videos are no longer being clipped. He literally doesnt care about the streams, he says it all the time. Its the highest paying, lowest effort thing he can do to fund his other projects.
