I don't know about anybody else but this is a lot of what compelled me to watch the show in the first place was that Nick seemed like a real human being trying to figure his s*** out and he didn't sort of hide behind a facade other than that of humor and making light of his own suffering but I like Nick's introspection and it's part of the reason I listen

No matter how successful Nick becomes, he'll always be in the trenches because of his poisonous mind. A lot of comics struggle and it makes them bitter. Nick's struggles make him fugue out and become a comedy genius.

I've never met someone who's talked about going to therapy where it has seemed like it has helped. It seems like they repeat the stuff they've learned but recognizing the thought pattern just reminds them that they're sad
@PodcastArcade2 жыл бұрын
you're supposed to learn your own lame patterns, learn how to spot lame thinking, and try to get ahead of it. That's the point. Sometimes BAD therapists will just sit there and let you talk, and you accomplish nothing except maybe feeling better that day. It's a bummer that there's like a 50/50 chance you'll get a loser therapist who doesn't help with shit.

Well he needs to quit the podcast because in his eyes it isn't worth it and is akin to fucking around so he doesn't feel fulfilled. Whereas if he were to find something that fulfilled him not necessarily work related, like starting a family or doing something to help others he could and probably would find meaning there and overtime blossom into something more than "time to say that's gay for 1 million dollars a year" that being said he should pursue creative work and maybe something that explains his feelings at that point in a transformative retrospective way that would also allow him to cope with past trauma in a healthy way. Like painting or making a short film or something along that line. But what do I know I'm gay.
@demolitionsexpert Жыл бұрын
@@Adam-yo3bt my take also, he needs to find something that is fulfilling and it isnt sitting around doing the pod, when he says he wants a shop to work in, etc. So he knows he would rather being doing something physical or has an end product to feel productive about.

Thanks for asking. I wrote the software myself. it's built on top of the Unity game engine. I don't use any video editing software, the whole video gets made inside unity and I screen record it with OBS. This whole channel is just an engineering project for me. Full explanation here : kzbin.info/www/bejne/Z5PHnGOChN6Mo68 In fact, i think i'm going to start live streaming myself making the videos, so the whole process will be on display. It takes me like 1 and a half hours to make a video.

Goes without saying, it's all really cool, you rock man, event if the videos have adam in it I still watch them for the puppet show nature of them that's just so entertaining. I can really appreciate how much fun you have with the visuals, as a fan. also, I'm gay.
@PodcastArcade2 жыл бұрын
@@randomness4272 Thanks very much. Unity (or any game engine) can be used to make non-game things and if you take time to learn how any game engine works (go through tutorials) it can be another fun medium for creative projects. It's fun to take images, sound and video and throw them into a game engine and make nonsense. Most game engines have "particle systems" which you can configure to make all sorts of visual junk too, so you can make art that throws up on itself.
