Drugs suck, weed is gay and a waste of time and money, it makes you a boring person that's not enjoyable to hang with because you're always high and not truly there in the moment like people are when they're sober. All weed people care about first and foremost in their life is getting high, it interferes with their ability to do anything else. Alcohol is even worse than weed for obvious reasons, same with cocaine and even moreso when people are drinking alcohol and snorting coke. Mushrooms make people weird and also pull them out from reality make them not coherent and frankly unpredictable. LSD is just insane, you can't function like a normal sober human being when you're blasted tripping on acid. Mr.Mackey is right, drugs are bad, mkay?

I’ll be an armchair psychologist real quick and make a lot of assumptions. I honestly think Nick thinks too much. If you obess over trying to be happy you’ll never be happy. Imagine using that approach to anything. For example you try to enjoy bowling and you obsessively think about how to enjoy bowling all the time. Even when bowling. Of course you will then not enjoy bowling. I feel if he finds out why he has this approach to life, then he will find acceptance. Because at the core the problem is the inability to accept life. Maybe he should try to challenge himself with not thinking about ways to be happy. And when that bad feeling creeps in just let it and do whatever you’re doing. Do that for a couple of months and see what happens. Could be completely wrong but this is what I would say in this conversation.

Petting your dog for the sake of petting it makes no sense at all. You cant unlearn hard truths about life, to do something only a child that perceives itself as immortal could do. We apply meaning to everything because life is finite and mostly brutal and difficult. Nick cant seperate a healthy awareness of this with being neurotic and messed up by it. Watching the mandalorian IS coping, art itself is a cope, a rebellion against ugliness, impiety and the imperfect. Watching the mandalorian is tantamount to a religious experience. Providing comfort against the storm, momentary and fleeting, transforming the human condition. We arent equipped for visceral sobriety to all of lifes tragic truth 24/7 anyway, which itself is a delusion. Edit: Im gay

10:08 eh eh Is really rad, but tell me this isn’t how y’all are all the time? The more worried about someone else’s perception of your perceptions of things (solicit advice obviously different ) , the less likely you’ll want to go to a meeting if you’re having a meeting 24/7 x infinity , Take this w a grain of salt. I found the rooms @ age 23, remember too that trauma has a lot to do with why we use and drink, if the problem doesn’t go away after the first cliche or reminding yourself if catchphrases every 20 seconds, maybe need to look into that. But that is why step 4 inventory is so important , agueably less so than making yrs you get all anmenda made. Good luck, tell bob hi

this was a very infuriating clip to listen to, usually the adam hate is not well deserved but it was like nick was talking to a brick wall

it's more like the way they experience things is fundamentally different, and a lot of what they're talking about hinges on their specific perception of things, and how it makes them feel
