I’ll preface by saying I’m a big fan of Nick and this channel. From a viewer standpoint, and I might be completely alone on this, it doesn’t seem necessary to put a mic on Nick. If it’s to drown out other gym noise, I don’t think it’s entirely worth it; Nick is a big guy, he’s capable of projecting when he’s speaking to the camera. Especially if the camera already has a mic on it. I appreciate all the work that goes into these videos as far as editing and camera work is concerned. It’s very enjoyable to watch Nick progress and the quality of these videos improve. 👍🏻 Edit: you can hear that the mic gets blown out every time he’s doing a set. A higher quality mic is needed and the audio level reduced, or ditch the mic.

@@_kixxalien_ i liked your comment at first, but then watched the “back attack” video, and I understood why they went for the mic... if you watch that video, the audio was very inconsistent (sometimes you could hear the cameraman’s heavy breathing, sometimes the left or right side would cut off, other times you barely hear nick talk...) the mic was the right decision, i just think they need to lower the mic placement on the shirt, maybe down to the middle of the chest...
