Nick Woodard - World Champion Jump Roper

Nick Woodard is a 7 time world champion and is widely considered to be the best freestyle rump roper in the world. So when my film maker friend Preston Kiser told me that Nick was a good friend of his and was coming into town, I asked if he would introduce me. Long story short, I got to get out shooting some video with Nick for a couple hours and this is the result. Expect some much gnarlier edits coming later this year with Nick and his amazing team Hot Dog USA!

My coach went to college with him. He said that one day he said "I can jump rope" and went to the front of the class and started doing flips with his jump rope. Lol. He tells us the same story EVERY YEAR

@@MRIONLYMATTER No I dont think about gymnastics, but anyone who has been jumping rope for a while knows they get bored doing the same routines and tricks. This is why you need new ones. I was pointing out the athleticism. Realistically I could attempt these tricks but maybe not get it as smooth as this guy and many of them I can tell I wont be able to do just by looking at them. But hey, if you can learn a new trick to keep yourself from being bored jumping then good. Just trying new tricks over an over makes a jump rope session way more interesting.
