In a recent interview, Nick Young opened up about his experience playing with the late Kobe Bryant, highlighting some memorable moments that portray Kobe’s intense competitive nature. Young recounted an incident where, during a game, Kobe took a rookie's seat on the bench, forcing him to sit on the floor. Despite the harsh act, it was all part of Kobe’s unrelenting drive to win. Young noted that Kobe’s demeanor on the court was far different from his off-court personality. While he could be very demanding and even abrasive during games and practices, this was his way of motivating the team. Most of the time Kobe was taking it out on his teammates, the Lakers were just trying to make the playoffs. Kobe didn't have patience for teammates who didn't pay attention to details and were not efficient on the court. After Phil Jackson left as Head Coach.

I saw Kobe play one time against the bobcats and I was shocked how skinny he was. He looked like he could wear kids clothes. I was thinking, how can somebody so small dominate the way he did. I was more impressed by Steve Nash dribbling and he was way past his prime.
