Dr.Umar is the very reason my son doesn’t have a IEP and I took him off Ritalin. He advised me to do the research and be present in his school. Don’t sit back and let them label him and say he has a learning disability. I took two years off from work to be there in the school because they wanted to just label him and push him to the back. May God bless you mama for your sacrificing. When I was coming up and I have my first and only child at 26 I didn't have someone like a Dr Umar I had to fight pray & also do the best that I could to save my own child. Maybe down the line around third or fourth grade one or two people may have stood up for me in the "school system" but I had to go to back by myself I ask God for (Extra Strength) because they wanted to put my child in Special Ed classes & give him medicine, if it wasn't for these special individuals who spoke up for me & my son back when I needed help he would have been in (Special Ed classes) & on drugs this is his last year in High School and he have been on honor roll for the last 6 or 7 years now also he has been in honor classes, may God bless Dr Umar Johnson for helping parents with their children and tried to save them as best as he can..🙏🏾❤️

I get so tried of being brain washed by brilliant black men, I been ready to do work I been working for years and seen many of them come and go due to the power struggle that makes the man more important than the mission bc of his brilliance. Raising three young men alone has made my children an easy Target for "labelling". Something that I loved about this video, the small amount that I've watched so far, was when Umar said, "its the adults that feel inconvenienced by the child" Nick Cannon "they lack patience". Those statements were my driving force to create healthy thriving young adults. I've declined medicine. I've fought the system. I've stood for my children despite the odds against them. I had to teach myself to be patient. I reminded myself that all I ever needed as a child, was for someone to be a little bit more patient with me. Children are so important.

While Dr. UMAR said some good things, he was wrong about President Obama, OBAMA did a lot for black Americans and blacks in Africa. He was also wrong about no black town in the United States. Harlem has long been an important black american community in this country. He was completely wrong about black people and college completion. First the research indicates that the more educated black people are, the higher thier income. Second, fifty percent of black high school graduates entered college in 2019. That is not a majority as Dr. UMAR suggested. Also he suggested that black people do not reinvest in the black community, while failing to mention the tremendous accomplishments of Tyler Perry.

I find it very interesting that people questioned his education because he did not initially go the normal route, but he is a brilliant man. Why does a degree from a white school have more validity than being taught directly from brilliant individuals. A1 Savage I would be mad too if I sent in money like that. I get why you feel that way. For me, I hadn’t heard what he said about young black boys in school discussed like that before. He articulated my observations. When my son was in first grade he struggled with reading despite my efforts. I wanted the school to help with tutoring after school while he was in after care. They didn’t care at all. They immediately suggested an Intervention and Referral Services (INRS) with a plan that didn’t help. Then they wanted to do an IEP. It was all lined up like this is the process. The old days where teachers put forth extra effort wasn’t there. He really went through. I never got him the IEP mainly because I didn’t want that to lead to drugs like Ritalin. I learned that this schools do this all of the time on a mass scale. He’s helped many parents understand what schools do and save their young black boys from becoming a profit machine for schools that don’t care about them. I wish he never told anyone about the school until he made money from speaking and or writing and could purchase the building on his own. He spoke too soon on his vision. I’m sorry that happened but I hope some information. That your family learned from him at the time helped them out. All the best.

And if the people watching this video can't tell that he is a normal person and not a perfect idol, then he is fighting a lost cause for our people who would rather spend their money on Gucci than on a school that teaches you how to be independent in a society that keeps us dependent on other people's wealth and acceptance.

This is so interesting. They made a gifted program in my Elementary School that my cousin and I were in for 3 years. I remained in higher level classes until high school. My freshman year, they put me in a reading class. It was all black kids (in a mostly White school). I went straight into the office and asked them to pull out my records because they made a mistake (I was reading at a 12th grade level in the 3rd grade if I remember correctly). They told me they didn't have to and that I was in the right class. My mom went down to that school and made them check my records in front of her. They changed my schedule after that. The thing is after that I stopped caring about school all together. What he is talking about is real and I worked in Trauma Informed Care for years. My son will not be apart of this trap.

Mr. Marshall He could have a school for real if he had enough money. $750,000 ain’t nothing.

The Brother is choosing to be a SOLO ACT. Even though he mentioned the Honorable Marcus Mosiah Garvey he's doesn't mention the UNIA-ACL GOVERNMENT which was the organization he's referring to. I don't overstand why he chooses not to. I know that he wanted to be in a higher position in the Thomas W. Harvey UNIA-ACL 121 Division in Philadelphia But, the elders and others support it. Which was wrong. He actually could have moved the organization a lot further than where it is today. So, I believe he's taken the experience personal and not promoting the UNIA-ACL which, is still existing. The Brother is much safer if, he had an organization he's a part of. Plus, that's what would make him more Powerful and influential.

He refuses to get help for the school!

Second Take That’s not true, he’s always asking for help. I don’t see why he wouldn’t ask a millionaire like Nick Cannon.
