Nick Cave & Warren Ellis - We Are Not Alone (La Panthère des Neiges)

Invada Records and Lakeshore Records are set to release the original score by Nick Cave and Warren Ellis to the forthcoming film La Panthère Des Neiges
digitally December 17. The soundtrack is one of Ellis and Cave’s most heartfelt and haunting film projects. Lakeshore Records will release the album digitally in the Americas and Invada Records in the rest of the world.

Beautiful quote from Warren about making this album: "There is something about the heart of this film that draws you in. I realised after a day, that I wanted to do whatever it took to compose an entire original score. The film deserved to have its own musical voice. I booked five days and asked Nick if he could come in for a day to write a theme song and play some piano. He saw the film and stayed for four days. In the end we made what I think is one of the most beautiful films we have ever worked on. One of my favourite experiences ever working on a project. The stars are the animals in all their wild glory, as we have never seen them before, and man in reverence and wonder."

Nick and Warren seem to release only two types of songs : Good or Great. The first album by Nick that I heard at the time of its release was “The Good Son” and I had no idea back then he would become my favorite artist of the 1990’s and sits alongside the Beatles, Dylan, Pink Floyd and Springsteen in my top five. Growing older did not lessen your songwriting as you managed to get better as you got older and stayed at the top. Thanks Nick, Warren , Blixa, Mick and all the Bad Seeds.

Thank you so much to these guys for their travels and wanderings in wild nature to photograph some incredible landscapes and majestic wild animals in places that haven't been corrupted or destroyed by cupidity and vanity of Men yet .. Thanks to them for their respect of the nature, their patience and enduring a freezy weather to catch the elusive in a picture. I keep seeing back that beautiful moment in the end of the movie when the panther finally lays down in front (miles away) of the camera lens : she was perfectly knowing her majesty, she was perfectly knowing she's been a long quest for these guys and she was perfectly aware about the precious moment she was giving to them ❤

I saw the movie yesterday and I remember in combination with this music: "they see us before we see them. We are being watched. We are being watched." It was synchronysed in german so I can´t recall it exactly, but it was a very honest moment in this film. I feel the world is endless when I see the beauty trough the eyes of the regisseur and the two explorers. But I see it myself when I walk beside the river and in the forest of my little village.
