I remember listening to this song on repeat when it first came out. I was in the midst of a toxic, abusive relationship and I would think “I want this, and it’s the furthest thing from what I have right now”. I eventually managed to leave that relationship and a year later met the man who completely changed my world. Right as we were starting to get serious he played this song and told me “I feel like you’re this person for me and I want to be that for you too”. Thirteen years later and we’re still each others’ soul mates and I truly believe we always will be

This one is timeless and holds a lot of meaning for me. When I got divorced, this song helped me get through a lot of hard moments and more than a bit of cynicism. For a long time I felt alone. Lots in life went wrong, a divorce, medical issues which led me to being discharged from the Army, family deaths, it all happened it seemed at once. I really had given up, I went through the motions of everyday life, and I just said one day ill just not show up to work and eventually they will find me. It really had gotten to that point. Then one day I met a nurse, who for some reason wanted to get to know me. I tried to push her away but she never gave up and I finally agreed to a date. I fell in love that night, been about 10 years now we have been married. She saved my life and gave me a reason to live. There is someone out there for us all, sometimes even when you give up that person finds you.

I've been a fan of this band since I was 17 years old (I'm now 38) I've seen them live more times than I can remember (even back when camera phones weren't even thought of - had to use a disposable one for my first gig) I've made many friends and met the band multiple times too and I can honestly say they are the kindest people. I have tons of fond memories because of this band 🥰 I've basically grown up with them 😆

This is my favorite song from them. It's like the lyrics mean everything I want to say. I am almost 18 and I've never had a relationship, or something similar to that. I just hate that Nickelback have so much hate from the world. They are a great band in my opinion and one of my favourites. I'm a rock person not a pop or rap person. So to those who give nickelback hate... Keep it to yourselves! Us Nickelback lovers don't what to hear it! We love nickelback and if you go onto one of their songs just to give hate instead of listening to the song then stop what your doing and post something nice on something you actually like, it will save you time, instead of thinking of mean things to say to bands or people that " aren't good enough for you ".
