The second episode is one of my absolute favorites. It's like a play, all done in one setting/stage. That's what makes it so unique. 😂

It was a bottle episode because they were trying to stay on budget and it’s cheaper to film on only one set. Ironically, because Matt LeBlanc actually dislocated his arm, they had to pause the episode and film the next few episodes with Matt’s arm in a sling instead. Only after Matt’s shoulder healed, did they go back and finish the episode. So the beginning and end of episode two was actually filmed weeks apart and became much more expensive than they wanted it to be 😂😅

Matt LeBlanc really dislocated his shoulder in the previous episode when he jumped into the chair that Chandler wanted to sit in, so for this episode they made up that Joey was jumping on his bed and fell. So, the injury was real.

@@nickflix8657 Yep. They evidently did several takes, and on one of them his pants caught on the corner of the coffee table and he crashed hard into the floor.

Seems like over 10 people brought up the fact that Matt actually dislocated his arm, but no one brought up the fact that Ursula’s stalker in episode 3 is Courteney Cox’s “future” husband (she married him three years after this episode). New fun fact unlocked! 👏🏼

The second episode is literally one of the best episodes of Friends. I love the comedy type in that one, the ensemble in the same room for the whole episode with things going wrong. After this you guys should think about checking out Fraiser. Same kind of comedy and great characters. One of the best sitcoms of all time.

Ross was totally justified in getting angry with everyone, including Rachel, at 21:49. All of them (Phoebe to a lesser extent since she arrived dressed) were being ridiculous and disrespectful of the fact that this was an important work event for him, and so they needed to be punctual for it.

about "meeting at the gate" at the airport for what to do correctly....this took place before 9/11 where you could still meet someone at the gate without buying a ticket, much less of a hassle back then

the people sitting in their spot at the coffee house were the actual writers for the show. when joey jumped on the chair, Matt LeB;ank actually did injure himself, that's why he had the cast in the next episode. courteny cox and david arquette were married at one point, not sure if they still are......

Matt LeBlanc dislocated his shoulder in a take of him jumping into the living room chair while fighting with Chandler. You can see it in the bloopers. But he continued taping the rest of the episode and after went to the hospital. They wrote his injury into the show since he had to wear a sling.

So Matt LeBlanc during "The One where no one is ready" fell during a take where him and Matthew Perry race to the chair to get their first. But he slipped slammed into the chair and dislocated his arm. Hence why Joey fell off the bed the next episode. And there is actually footage of that accident in the reunion and on youtube

fun fact: the reason why Joey had a cast on his arm in the 3rd episode is because the actor, Matt LeBlanc, injured his arm in the 2nd episode when him and Matthew Perry, Chandler, were running for the chair.

Friends Fact: Matt Le Blance did in fact injured his armand it's from the previous episode, It's when both Joey and Chandler fight over the chair when no one was sitting in it and Le Blanc dislocated his shoulder as a result.
