What a joy to watch today. A journey to see what shops are open in winter turns into a display of the true nature of place . We first weave and descend down through the narrow streets with vistas and adventures at every turn .Over look the shoulder of the artist and see what he sees. Enjoy a coffee and a pastry and watch the flavours of friendship blend and renew in those minutes of connection where the threads of memory and shared history are pulled tight again. Winter is a time to do such things and although your porpose was one thing your result was even richer ,deeper and ever more beautiful. Ever the changing weather with its silver light ,greys and blues were magial. Here's to place ,friendship ,family and knowing how valuable time is to the mix.

Knowing little towns in Italy, the biggest chore of the day is to say hello to all the locals, your neighbours, daily and every time you put your nose out, in the summer is different as we can be disguised within the crowd. Nice video, and useful. It is the most precious thing to live your own place naturally, senza turisti, and strengthen the bond with the locals. Super.

Though many places are closed, Chiusa, and everything slows to a snails pace, it gives everyone a time to re-charge your batteries by renovating your house or business and getting things done you couldn't find time to do in the busy Summer season. Carlo, a slightly gregarious person needs to re-establish long term friendships and talk to everyone he meets. Even the rain and storms are welcome. Nicki, Carlo, take this time to relax and perhaps learn something new, you've always wanted to do. My thing as I was coming out of my grieving for the death of my second wife was to do two things: 1. Take a glider trip 2. Learn diamond grading and coloured stone identification. So I took a two week intensive course at the Gemological Institute of America in Carlsbad CA. That was more fun than a barrel of monkeys. There were people in the course from all over the world and from many different professions. There one gorgeous Chinese gal who looked me square in the eye{I'm 6'3" and shrinking}. I just need to be 20 years younger....LOL! So enjoy your quiet time. Un abbraccio forte a due!

The outside tables were not there!! It was wonderful n magical!! Gorgeous view, wonderful food, entertaining waiter!! Afterwards we took our shoes off n put our feet in the water!! lol total tourist!! But loving every every moment!! Then during the pandemic, I found you!! What an extraordinary tour, Nikki and Carlo! It is such a spectacular place the way people have made a life hugging the mountain. It is really beautiful, though I can imagine the tourists can drive you crazy in the summer. I love small, human-scale places, and all the tiny shops that give such personal attention. Just finished watching this week’s video. Wonderful tour of what’s open in Positano! Can I suggest subjects for future videos? 1) I see all this beautiful iron work. Fences, gates, railings on stairs and cliffs are everywhere. Can you show us the sources for these. The designs of benches integrated into the railing is ingenious. The source of the designers would be amazing. 2) Seeing the Watercolorist still working in the coldest months is heartwarming. Does he post and sell on the net? If he doesn’t some young person should be his agent and make high end products selling in a small space near him. Love you guys. If you guys build a small cabin on your Tuscany Property for us I’ll buy Carlo a 26B Kubota backhoe! I have one for my 12 acres and it’s invaluable. We’re old so the cabin would come back to you in less than 10 years! Just a thought. Be creative!

Always love a tour of the town. The fruit is to die for. We are so limited in the winter. The gift shop with all the lemon pottery and colorful dishes would be so hard to resist.
